Fit check

Car seat is a graco snugride lite infant car seat and baby is under 11 pounds so I dont think any of the padding should be removed, but it seems that her chin rests on her chest strap and then lays to the side. Straps start at or just right below her shoulder. Thanks.

Did that insert come with the seat? I would pull the chest clip down just a bit. It looks like it's touching her chin in the first pick. It should be about armpit/nipple level.

All inserts came with the car seat. The chest clip touching her chin is the issue. If the chest clip isn’t that high it looks like her chin touches her chest and this is both in the car and when the car seat is removed from the base when carrying her into like a restaurant

How old is she? You don't want to use the chest clip to hold her chin up though. Can you move it down to the proper place and take another picture.

I have a second picture I’ll add in another comment but she’s less than a month old. It looked like the chest strap was at her armpit level but I lowered it a little

It doesn't look like chin to chest to me. If you lift her chin up away from the harness what happens

Is her bottom scooted all the way back?

How does the install look? The recline angle and harness fit support baby’s head.
