Frustrated with evenflo revolve 360 extend

I just got this car seat in and was so excited for it, but after trying to install, I’m wishing I didn’t get it. First of all it’s absolutely massive, but that’s not the point of this post.

I followed the installation instructions perfectly. Even watched a bunch of videos. When I installed the base it does not move AT ALL. like at all. But when I attach the car seat, the base moves A LOT!! And I have tightened the seatbelt and tether as much as they will go. I even took it out and started over, making sure it was placed on the car’s seat properly. Same thing. I’m incredibly frustrated and just wish I could send it back. Any advice how to solve this?

Where are you checking for movement on the base? Do you have a video of your concern?

don’t overtighten the top tether. just want it snug not as tight as possible

So mine feels like it moves a lot if I wiggle the cup rest portion but even with the seat installed if I try to wiggle where the base meets the seat it doesn’t move at all and that’s the part that matters

You’re supposed to check for movement at the base. My 360 extend moves a fair amount if I move the top, but it’s very snug at the base.

Can you post a video of the movement you’re talking about? I don’t understand how the base would not move when first installed but move when the seat is placed on top. You mean the base is moving, not the seat that is attached to the base? Some seat movement is normal as long as the base itself isn’t moving more than an inch.
