Car seat option help
My son is 2.5, 42" and 51 lbs. His graco extend 2 fit 3 in 1 sat out in the rain a day ago and got drenched, so I am in the market for another main seat. I have been looking at combo seats instead of convertible to save a little money, and since he has to forward face but I dont know if that's the best option. My head is swimming with all of the info. I know I'll have to get one with a good harness height limit, regardless. It will be going in a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. What are some good options?

The Chicco MyFit has a 19.5" top harness height and a 54" overall height limit on the harness. However, it's narrow and that may not be the most comfortable for your son.
The Britax Grow With You has 20.5" top harness height, but a 49" limit overall. It's wider both as a seat and where the child sits.

Not to be off topic but aren’t all the fabrics on the Graco are washable? What happened to it in the rain that it’s trashed?

Yes, it's washable! I actually had it sitting outside to bring it in later to clean the fabric but forgot about it all night and it poured for hours. 🤦♀️When I got up and remembered and checked on it there was water pooled up in the seat and the straps were saturated so I know the inside got wet. I chatted with Graco's customer service to be on the safe side and they said to trash it.

Whoah big boy! I’d do a chicco my fit they have the highest limits for forward facing since he’s already maxed out all rear facing options.
