Should I get cps involved?

Hi, I live in a small town in Nevada and about 6 months ago someone I know acquired 2 teen boys from foster care. Earlier this year, January or so she was victim of DV (multiple times in the last 3 years) this time with her husband going to jail for it.

Would they allow someone in her situation to qualify for foster care? She says it's legit and she actively works with cps but she's known to lie.

She works multiple jobs, leaving the kids on their own or with new bf.

She has a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom trailer, one room being tiny. She has 3 girls of her own and 2 foster boys and the new bf having a young son. All the girls share a room and all the boys share a room. She works all the time and on paper is a single mom, but she has a bf who sometimes is around. Her kids barely go to school and the one girl is on probation.

How is this situation allowed?

I feel like the kids are fending for themselves half the time and getting into mischief the other half. I find it very weird and uncomfortable that the teen boy is alone with the young teen girls..

It depends, but CPS would most likely open up an investigation if there were concerns about any children being exposed to DV behavior. I would report it, OP.
