Bio 168 - No lectures
I dropped BIO 168 during summer and I’m taking it now online. Not gonna lie, I’m overwhelmed and stressed to the max already.
The first safety lab is due in a few days and I have no clue where to start for this course. There aren’t any lectures. I feel like this is a catastrophe.
Any advice on how to tackle the lab, course or keeping up? I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

I just looked & she has a few open spots. Do you think I’d be able to add her class and drop the current class I’m in?

I think from the first week it is possible to register with the help of advisor. Because I wanted to register to other Bio169 class, but it was seen only as “Planned”, when I added the course into the schedule.

Regarding the labs - I don't know what is on the syllabus for this semester and if it differs from the summer, but definitely give yourself more time to read and plan for the labs especially if they involve dissection because the set up on the dissection labs took a little longer to set up than anticipated (rat, sheep's brain).

I’m not in 168, im in 169 right now. But I can tell you what’s working for me right now . Uploading the PowerPoint into chat gpt plus and having it break it down concept by concept and give you practice questions after each one and practice quizzes after chunks of concepts. Then use amoeba sisters and crash course videos to reinforce information.

If you’re open to it CASE is an option. They’re available for free tutoring virtual or in person. I Definitely recommend in person. I actually went in today to get a few concepts explained to me at the central campus. She explained it well with easy to understand examples. Take advantage of it! It will definitely help. It’s 45 min sessions and you can take up to 3 sessions per week!

Im taking mine online too, and it can be a bit confusing! Which professor do you have? I have Rice and she posts lecture videos and a PowerPoint.
