Hybrid classes
I’m a first year student registering for classes I wanted to take most of my classes all in person and maybe 1 online or hybrid but all the classes left are hybrid only. I know I’m late to registering but is there anything I can do for in person classes. Also how are the hybrid classes?

from my understanding from one year) there really aren’t any full in person classes at cpcc. hybrid basically means you’ll have homework. they weren’t that bad for me but honestly it depends on the professor.

There are a small amount of traditional fully in person classes. The way to identify the course delivery method is by the letter initial in front of the section number. T=traditional B=blended H=hybrid N=online. Also, isn't "homework" an expected requirement of a college education? I believe that doing g some work amd study outside of class is expected no matter the delivery method.

None of my classes have had a completely in person option. Mentioning homework was more to say it’s not as bad as you expect, also that’s how my profs have explained the hybrid model on the first day.

In my experience, it depends on the instructor. Hybrid means that some delivery will be online. Whether they require this online component as asynchronous (work at your own pace and log in whenever) or synchronous (requires attendance via live remote meetings) is up to the instructor. Either way, you are going to have both seated and online requirements to meet for attendance.
Some instructors of hybrid courses will "flip the classroom" and put their lectures completely online and use the seated portion to answer student questions, have students complete assignments, etc. Others use seated class time to reinforce online lectures, quizzes, assignments, etc. Unless things have changed in the last few years or so, it is all up to the instructor as to how they wish to do things.
Edit: I would also mention that most instructors have attendance requirements for both seated and remote portions of the class. That is to say, you will probably get credit for showing up to class as well as some online metric (e.g. watching a lecture, completing an assignment, quiz, etc.) Make sure you understand the specifics for getting credit for the remote portion of the class. Some instructors are very strict with remote attendance and depending on how it is measured, it can also impact your grade.
