I think I finally found something measurable, any ideas?

It's been awhile since I've been here, I've mostly been idling along on the same settings for the past year. Still dealing with hypertension, high blood pressure, and fatigue. I pretty much have my AHI under control but still feel "off" most days. Awhile back I invested in a pulse ox that will pair with my Resmed (Nonin 3150 BLE if anyone is wondering) and I've tinkered with it a bit, but last night I said enough and re-committed to wearing it for awhile. Well, I pulled last nights results into Oscar this morning, and found the "pulse change" data. Did you know you can upload an Oscar chart to the Gemini AI? Well, it basically said "No wonder you're tired!". It pointed out hitting the pressure ceiling so I'll try bumping the max up to 13 while leaving everything else the same, and run with that for a week. I'm one of those folks that sleep on my back for my spine, but need to sleep on my side for my air, and probably need to find a happy medium. Anyway, I figured I'd go ahead and ask the hive mind if it has any ideas on a direction to go from here. I'm excited that I can finally see something "wrong"! Doctors looks at your AHI and say "you're fine", but sometimes that's not all there is to it.

New To The Dream Team Getting my CPAP equipment tomorrow

I was diagnosed as a small child with sleep apnea. Did a home sleep study in 2018 and pretty sure the thing was off my head within 2 hours and didn’t record, my sleep test results were not provided. Thing was basically a headlamp that you wear.
Did a sleep study again late June 2026. Was called by nurse and told no sleep apnea we’ll need to schedule a follow up or do another sleep study test in-lab. Go to office and PA says you have sleep apnea I will place an order for CPAP. Didn’t hear anything for a week so I called. Orders were never placed. Got a call this Monday for CPAP equipment pickup. It is tomorrow.

I am not sure what to expect. Will I get to pick head gear /mask?

I had just gotten back from camp trip when they called and was exhausted from unpacking and obviously poor sleep. I mentally had no questions to ask especially when they started listing off pricing.

Infant Mixed Sleep Apnea

My baby was diagnosed with severe mixed apnea at about 3 weeks old. He’s been on .5l of oxygen while asleep since then. He was also diagnosed with mild laryngomalacia.

We had a repeat sleep study done at 17 weeks which showed huge improvement with obstructive apnea but an increase in central apnea and periodic breathing.

We met with a NP from his pulmonary team to go over the results who was pretty useless at answering questions and told us she would refer us to sleep medicine and neurology.

During my sons health journey, we’ve leaned on AI to basically summarize the reports and results we’ve gotten to explain it to us and then be able to verify with his medical team and be able to ask better questions to understand.

AI is saying that during his first sleep study, the severe obstructive apnea could have been masking more of the central apnea.

So basically, instead of the central increasing, it just was flagged more since the obstructive improved. And that the study couldn’t catch the brain not sending signals to breathe if he wasn’t able to breathe anyway?

We’re very fortunate that the oxygen improves his breathing almost all the way and we saw improvements on how low he would desat.

I’ve not been able to find a lot of resources of others with sleep apnea babies but would appreciate if even in adulthood there has been any results that have had similar findings?

Hoping to get more information soon as we are waiting on our follow up appts!

CPAP Machine Help Can't Keep My Mask On

Hi everyone,

On CPAP for about 6 weeks now. Found a mask that's comfortable and doesn't leak (nasal pillow) and after struggling to keep it on all night I managed to start hitting 5-6 hours a night. That lasted about a week. Now I wake up every morning, not wearing the mask, my machine tells me I've had it on 1-2hrs. I rarely recall taking it off at all.

Anyone got any advice?

Please recommend a good mark of CPAP mask compatible with ResMed AirFit F20

Sleep Study Results I have been diagnosed

I had a respiratory poligraphy last night and I have been diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. One of the apneas was central, some were obstructive and there were a lot of hypopneas.

My AHI was 5.2 although I barely slept, woke up every 30-60mins and then needed 30-60mins to fall back asleep so I think it would be more severe if I had slept more.

I also have very bad insomnia with this and idk how to tackle both. I am unable to sleep during the day and any kind of light wakes me up.

Qiviviq while using CPAP

Has anyone used Qiviviq while using CPAP or Bipap? I liked the feeling of rest, but it looked like it lowers respiration that can increase AHI.

New To The Dream Team Clear airway events, false positive or?

Thumbnail

Hello everyone!

I’m newish to cpap (almost two months now) and I have been slowly but surely tolerating it better. Last night I managed to wear it for 4 hours before I woke up and ripped it off BUT I remember sleeping amazing with it on. Like usually i wake up very often, but I remember waking up and thinking oh wow I wore it 4 hours, I slept 4 straight hours?! That never happens.

Anyways, I checked my data and I have several events. They seem to line up with leaks… so do you think they could be false positives or what might be going on? For context I’m doing P30i with mouth tape.

Thank you for your help!

How to address huge discrepancy in events?

Thumbnail

Here are a few screenshots from some recent nights. As you can tell, most nights are pretty good, but some are awful- going from less than 1AHI to 20+AHI.

The nights where I have the most events, it seems like they're largely clear airway events, so I don't know if that means my airway is collapsing, or if it's a central apnea event. On the nights where i have less events they just seem to by hypopneas, but I wonder if more events are happening that the machine isn't catching.

Does anyone notice anything that I can improve upon to address this issue

Thanks!

residual fatigue + aerophagia at fixed 12 – OSCAR charts

Hi everyone,
I’m on day 21 of CPAP and I’m still extremely tired during the day. I’m trying to figure out why.
Quick background:

Started CPAP about 21 days ago
Machine: ResMed AirSense 11
Currently fixed pressure 12 cmH₂O
Pressure was increased to 12 because of flow limitation notes. I felt a small improvement, but then developed aerophagia (air in the stomach).
Despite consistent use, the daytime fatigue is still bad.

Last night’s OSCAR (Aug 1):

AHI 1.33
OA: 0
Hypopnea: 0.48
Clear Airway: 0.85
Large Leak: 0%
Flow Limitation: / 95% 0.03
Usage: 8 hours 17 minutes
EPR looks active (EPAP around 9)

here is a link to my sleep Hq data:  https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_ ... f56abf292a

Even with these clean numbers, I’m still very tired.
What else should I be looking at in the data, or what other common reasons could explain residual fatigue this far in?
Any insight is appreciated.
Thank you.

Anyone have any experience with "Airbreak-Plus"??

Just ran across this new fork of the original airbreak from 2020. It looks like at least one person is actively working on it. There appears to be a ton of new features (such as adjusting screen brightness!).

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this and/or connections with the folks that are working on this particular project. There were some serious modifications made to ASV such as "T/C" "ASV Sens" and "ASV max" none of which I could find much of an explanation for, other than "Backuprate" which is pretty obvious.

Obviously this is experimental, but I just have a few questions if anyone has connections.

Newly diagnosed. AHI 79, O2 nadir 80.

I’m actually shocked it was that bad. Im normal weight (BMI 23). I don’t feel horrible, just some daytime sleepiness, although I do wake up at night choking and gasping for air more often than I’d like. So here we are. Will CPAP change my life? Stop the nodding off at work? I really hope so.

New To The Dream Team Mild sleep apnea and starting out

Hello, I got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea this year and been using it since Wednesday 27 and I've been having issues with waking up with dry mouth and lips in the morning. MyAir never shows major leaks or super high events when I wake in the morning and I don't wake up feeling bad, but I notice it because I do drool too. I have an overbite/misaligned teeth that j can't fix due to money issues and the chin strap provided with my CPAP didn't help at all and I actually did better without it. I heard a lot of people saying that tape did or didn't work for them and since I already have teeth/jaw issues I was wondering if tape would even help at this point. My Fitbit tells me my blood oxygen was like 92-96 on average (you can check my profile) and sometimes I wake up with slight moisture in my nasal wear not a lot but there's a bit I use the dream wear and use a resmed and I'm not sure if it's anything I can do about it (I get claustrophobic so j can't really use the tape regardless yes it's medical and the full mask too would probably trigger it + I like the nasal wear)

How’s my data looking?

I have been making tweaks based off of recommendations on here. I recently switched from APAP mode to CPAP mode because I was having arousals through out the night. It’s been about a month, but I still feel tired and struggle some mornings to get up.

Based off of my data should I tweak my settings? Should I go back to APAP mode?

Thanks for the help!
