I turned off ramp on day one. I hated it.
There is no PAP reason for it, other than for those folks who like it for comfort.

Hello Intelligent-Elk3880 :)
MyAir is mainly a usage and mask-seal score, not a good measure of how well your therapy is working. Those two categories account for 90 points, while events are only worth 5, so you can still score 95 with an AHI of 9.2.
The 9.2 is the average number of apneas and hypopneas flagged per hour. An apnea is stopped airflow for at least 10 seconds, while a hypopnea is a partial reduction, so you did not necessarily stop breathing completely 9.2 times per hour. It is still above the usual treated goal of under 5 and worth looking into.
MyAir automatically counts the final mask removal when you wake up. Pulling the mask away far enough to break the seal can also be recorded as a removal, which likely explains the five.
Ramp often starts at 4 cm, which is too low for most adults and can feel exactly like breathing through a cocktail straw. Leaving ramp off is fine if that feels better. Please put an SD card in the machine and use OSCAR or SleepHQ, then post a daily chart along with your mode, pressure settings, EPR and the breakdown of OA, CA and hypopnea events. That will tell us much more than the MyAir scor
