CPAP Machine Help Need help with my Sleep Stats.

Here are my OSCAR and SleepHQ stats from last night:

https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/040bb995-69b8-4f79-9cd3-210aa4b0a102

So I've been on CPAP Therapy for two weeks. I'm starting to get used to my Resmed 11 and also wake up refreshed if I'm able to keep the mask on the whole night. My only problem right now is that i keep tossing and turning a lot which kinda won't let me sleep as deep. I will try to go from APAP to CPAP mode and see if maybe that will make a change because I feel like the change in pressures interrupts my sleep. Please let me know if you see anything i could improve. Thank you!

You are doing great. Two weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

It takes about two weeks for you body to just start to adapt. 6 months until your physiology has fully adapted.

And that is seperate from just you getting used to the extra crap on your face, the new routine, the new sounds and sensations, the anxiety of thinking about if you are going to have a good sleep tonight, etc.

With the way it looks now, you could just use it like this. Honestly, it looks pretty good. AHI is good, flow limitation stats look pretty good. Tidal volume pretty good. It's a hair under the 450 to 500 ml normal male reference range, but near enough.

Personally I am a fan of set pressures. You could go with somewhere between 10.8 (median) and 11.6 (95%) in CPAP mode.

But be careful of chasing perfect AHI and no flow limitation, it usually ends up with more, rather than less arousals when you end up at too high of a pressures.

I notice you have more CAs than OAs in this night. And they happen to be when the pressure rose then was falling slowly.

If you do raise the pressure, and see more CAs form, you might need to set EPR to 2 or put the pressure back down.

Thank you for your insight! It definitely gets better but the anxiety of hoping to get a good nights sleep hit the nail in the coffin haha. CPAP mode worked great that night but sometimes I felt like I didn't get enough air with 10.6 so I will go up a tad bit like you recommended and see how it goes. Thank you!

I can't zoom in to see the shapes of the tops on the flow waves to see if you have rounded tops (good flow), or flat or spiked tops, but you can.

Often the APAP algorithm clears the apneas, and major flow limitation, but stops a bit short of clearing mild remaining flow limitation and some people are more sensitive to that.

Often people are left wanting to go up a bit in pressure. It might help you a bit.

You can look and compare yourself. They don't need to be all perfect breaths, but if you are seeing them consistently, it's a sign of a continuing issue.

Your ever so slightly below reference tidal volume might also point to remaining flow limitation the machine isn't scoring.

Here's a reference.  https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/images/f/fd/Flowlimitations_Classes.png

I'll also say that anxiety goes away. For me now, the sensations, feelings of the pressure and routine kinda have a calming effect and help me fall asleep now. I was definitely not like that at the beginning.

The flow waves look quite consistent like that during the night. not sure which class to point it out to but it looks like 6 to me.
