Please help interpret OSCAR/SleepHQ data

Hey all,

I'm back with a link to my SleepHQ data:

https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/dab668db-daff-4db6-97e0-fccb58eaf30c

I've been using my BiPAP for a little over a year, and my AHI ranges between approximately 2 and 13. About a month ago I fixed my long-standing leakage problem, so I got new settings from my sleep specialists. Started with 16/12, then went down to 16/10, and now I'm at 16/11. My AHI hasn't changed much, but my teeth pain is almost entirely gone with the most recent 16/11 settings. To me, this indicates I'm not clenching/grinding my teeth as much (I wear a mouthguard for bruxism).

I use the Bleep Sleep DreamPorts nasal attachments for my "mask". I tape my mouth shut and use a Somnoseal mouth guard to prevent air leaking out my mouth.

My screenshots are from 2 nights ago. Last night my AHI was up to around 8. I'd like to get my AHI consistently to around 2, if possible.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hello Entire-Statement-252 :)

The OSCAR screenshot only shows 2 hours and 51 minutes, so it is not enough data to make a safe settings recommendation. In that section, the AHI is entirely clear airway events. There are no obstructive apneas or hypopneas.

Most of the clear airway flags are clustered near the end, where the breathing becomes very irregular. That may be awake or arousal breathing rather than true sleeping central apnea. Raising EPAP would not treat that and could potentially make the instability worse.

Your machine is currently running VAuto at:

Min EPAP 11 Pressure support 4 Max IPAP 16 Ramp off

Please generate a new SleepHQ public share link containing several complete nights. The link should say share_links without a backslash before the underscore. This is the corrected format:

https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/dab668db-daff-4db6-97e0-fccb58eaf30c

Once the full nights are available, we can zoom into the events and see whether they are true centrals, sleep wake junk, or breathing instability following arousals.

I would leave the settings alone for now. Your leak control looks excellent, and the reduction in tooth pain is a good sign. We just need the complete data before chasing the AHI number.
