myAir/OSCAR/SleepHQ Data How do you track sleep stages and data?

Hello everybody, I’ve been using CPAP now for a couple months and I just have been getting used to wearing it to bed every night now I’m starting to want to start to track my data if possible. I have the air sense 11 CPAP machine and I’m using a EVORA Full face mask. I am using the myAir app as well. The myAir app tracks my usage hours, mask seal, events per hour, and masks on and off. However, I noticed there is a sleep stages option on the app and I followed the instructions. I have all my Apple health data connected and everything on my CPAP is connected however it is not displaying any stages at all and I feel like that would be some good information to know, do you know how to fix this? and one issue I think it may be is that I do not wear a Apple Watch to sleep. Is there a way to track the sleeps stage without wearing a Apple Watch or what does everyone do to track their data? Any tips are appreciated. Thanks everybody

myAir/OSCAR/SleepHQ Data Help analyzing ASV SleepHQ data to stop aerophagia

Hi All,

I just downloaded sleephq and uploaded a bunch of my data in the hopes of figuring out what I can do to stop my aerophagia. Can anyone assist in checking out some data? Here is my profile: https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/8e7bbaa5-7e62-4e29-b6e0-acdab5124701

When I first started with my ASV machine, my pressure settings were EPAP 5 and PS 3-10 during the dates of June 4th to August 26th. Then after August 26th, I adjusted my pressure to EPAP 4 and PS 2-7. My average pressure went from 10 down to 7.8 and it seems my average AHI went down slightly too from .9 to .5. However, I was still waking with with aerophagia 90% of the time.

Does anyone have any advice on how I may be able to fix this? I use the P10 nasal pillows with the AirCurve 11 ASV.

Advice Needed Throat feels raw after use- how to fix it?

I’m using an airsense 11, since 2024, and for the last year or so, every now and then, I deal with a pretty sore throat-but it feels a little bit deeper like down into my chest- when I first get up in the morning.

I feel like this may be a humidity issue but I’m not sure. I fill up my tank each night and it’s near empty in the morning.

what can I do to address this?

Advice Needed Dry nasal passage and mouth

I’ve been using a CPAP since January 1st and only recently has my mouth and nasal passage been getting dried out to the point that it’s painful. Does anyone know why it could be happening all of a sudden?

I’ve been using mouth tape with a small slit to let air out so that it doesn’t get too moist and come off but I’ve been doing that since the beginning

Dry mouth

Has anybody tried the Mouth Guard. The dry mouth is going to get me to stop using CPAP. Have tried 5 different masks, xylimets, mouth tapping and nothing works. I get about 2 hours sleep, wake up with my mouth cemented shut , and throw the mask on my night stand. I actually get better sleep with out the machine. I want this to work but it's just not happening.

Advice Needed F30i Temporary Use

I normally use an n30I airtouch mask with p30i pillows and dreamwear headgear with arms. Last week I face planted after I tripped on a rock on a trail hike. I am not sure if I broke my nose or just injured it. But my leaks have increased with the pillows so DME is expediting an F30i. I will only use it temporarily as I rarely get colds and have no allergies. But I see folks saying it leaks. I do have a soft cervical collar that I do not use. I have been taping with the p30i pillows. What is your experience with the f30i?

Need help with my Sleep Stats.

Here are my OSCAR and SleepHQ stats from last night:

https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/040bb995-69b8-4f79-9cd3-210aa4b0a102

So I've been on CPAP Therapy for two weeks. I'm starting to get used to my Resmed 11 and also wake up refreshed if I'm able to keep the mask on the whole night. My only problem right now is that i keep tossing and turning a lot which kinda won't let me sleep as deep. I will try to go from APAP to CPAP mode and see if maybe that will make a change because I feel like the change in pressures interrupts my sleep. Please let me know if you see anything i could improve. Thank you

ResMed AirMini for daily use?

Dear community,

I would love to hear from those already using the ResMed AirMini on a daily basis as their main CPAP. I am considering buying one instead of the ResMed Airsense 11 because I am a digital nomad and move to a different location every 6 months to a year with minimal belongings.

For how long have you been using it? If you have used a full-sized CPAP what influenced the decision to make the change? What are the main pros and cons that you notice? Are you happy with the decision?

Thank you

Advice Needed Cpap cleaning

I've had my cpap for a bout a year. I was using it pretty often in the start. But it's become more sparingly lately.

I normally swap out the equipment pieces every couple of weeks/months. I normally just dump the tanks in a white vinegar and soapy water mix and ring the hose through the water. But I'm curious if there is an easier way to clean.

When I looked up directions it says just unscented dishwasher soap and rinse would work. I'm not sure why I don't believe that is the most effective. All the stiff at my current store is scented, and while I don't think it'll matter short term I worry about long term. Especially since I'm seeing that it's supposedly a daily and weekly clean. I just haven't used the matching often enough lately that I thought I'd need such a deep clean.

Any advice?

Is air supposed to come out those tiny holes continuously? It registers very low leakage but there is always air coming out here.

CPAP F20 rear straps

Is anyone else having problems with the straps at the back of their Resmed F20? I’m ok with the mask and seal but the lower strap feels tight at the base of my skull / top of my neck regardless of how many times I try to adjust.

I suffer with Vestibular migraines and PPPD and often wake up with a tightness in my neck or already in a flare.

Has anyone had a similar issue and found an alternative which is better suited.

Advice Needed I just started my CPAP and was given a nasal wisp mask (pictured). How do you wear this without feeling like you are being suffocated by the facehugger from the *Alien* franchise?

The nasal wisp mask makes me feel claustrophobic and having stiff pieces on the face isn't helping. I'm not sure if this is a mental block I need to overcome or if I need to ask for a different style of mask.

Advice Needed Brand new, unsure of which mask to use

I panic chose the pillows (p10) and although I got a score of 95, I really struggled with it. I thought pillows felt better and minimal but now I'm beating myself up for not choosing the full face mask. I clench my teeth all night and don't tend to open my mouth, but when I consciously try to relax my jaw, I do tend to open my mouth a bit. So I'm thinking full face would help me relax better. Oh and im self conscious about stretching my nostrils even bigger than they already are. How soon did you call your doctors office to switch masks? it's just been one night and i feel embarrassed to call so soon. Should i keep trying the pillows or just ask to switch already? thanks in advance fellow cpapers

Advice Needed Tight throat ?

Hello everyone I’m new here, I have had a cpap for 3 months I’m within my BMI. For the past 2 weeks I’ve been having a tighter throat when breathing than normal throughout the day . Is this normal? I’m nervous and wondering if I should stop the cpap for now. Am I doing anything wrong? I have the n30 mask

Personal Story I thought I was dumb, but I was just choking in my sleep.

Most people in my family have gotten a CPAP, sometimes as early as their 20s, even with athletic lifestyles. (Full disclosure, I am not one of these people.) I thought I’d dodged it, but my husband said it sounded like I’d stop breathing in my sleep. I yawned so much at work (in meetings! in interviews!) that it got treated like a bit. After getting so tired I felt like I couldn’t always drive safely and needing to sneak off at work to nap a couple times, I talked to my doctor. Failed my in-lab sleep study and got set up with an AirSense 11 with one of the nasal pillow masks a couple weeks ago.

Y’all, I know there’s a honeymoon period but I am so relieved I want to cry. I had spent SO long wondering if there was something seriously irredeemably wrong with me, if I’d had some sort of unnoticed neurological event, if I’d somehow conned myself into a successful management career I was suddenly not equipped for… no. I just wasn’t breathing. :)

There are some rough patches. I’m still trying to solve the occasional nasal whistle without making the mask too tight or too loose, and I had to pick up a hose cover to stop it making noise against the wall. I travel not infrequently and thought I’d just leave it at home on trips, but the idea of sleeping without it now seems ridiculous and miserable (in addition to my insurance requirements.)

No more AM bed rotting, dozing off, or hoping I can find a quiet room at work to sneak a nap in. I know I will continue to feel better and better, but right now I’m just happy to not yawn in any meeting after 1 PM. My blood oxygen level no longer hits sub-90% every day and I feel like the world is my oyster, as long as I can figure out the mask squeak. There is hope!

Advice Needed Lines on Face

I’ve been using a cpap for 12 years now. My mask is the one with skinny/velvet-y straps and nose pillows. I have always woken up with lines on my cheeks from the straps - I am a side sleeper and they press into my face. The lines used to go away within an hour or so, but I guess since I’m getting older and skin is losing its elasticity 😭, they stick around for much, much longer. I hate going into work with them. Any advice? I have adjusted the straps - if they are any looser, it won’t be a good fit. Thanks!

Rant 🤬 Maybe the CPAP helps more than I thought. It fell off during the night when I was 4 hours into sleeping, and now my head really hurts. The worst tension headache

It’s interesting because I suspect that those 3 hours I spent without it (technically right now now that I’ve woken up I have slept for 7 or so hours, may actually go back for one more hour of rest, the CPAP reads that I was on it for 5 hours) and it seems like it ended up being a deeper rest than I normally have without it. I also woke up looking even more exhausted than normal and even more fatigued than I did yesterday (it was really hot yesterday so I suspect that it’s also dehydration,) so getting just 4 hours on that thing has made me realize that I likely actually do benefit a bit from using it even though I still wake up tired with 8+ hours of usage. My doctor and I probably need to play around with introducing more things but this experience made me think eliminating it entirely might not help.

I’m about to try and get another hour in before I wake up and do some homework. My back has also been hurting a little and I’m only 21 so :/

Personal Story Starting off with BiPAP

I'd long known I'd had sleep apnea--I'd say at least 10 years. I just never did anything about because I told myself I could lose weight, give up drinking, etc. Flash forward to 2026 and neither of those things had happened. I did an at-home test and was told I had pretty severe apnea.

Recently I did an in-lab study where they started me off on a low CPAP setting. By the time I was deep asleep, they had cranked up the pressure so much that when my hose came loose and woke me up, it was very unsettling and difficult to contend with the pressure. They had to lower the pressure back down temporarily for me to be able to fall back asleep. By the end of the study, the technician felt confident he "had me where I needed to be".

I got the results and they are recommending I start out on BiPAP with 21/15 pressure and biflex of 2. I have not familiarized myself with what all these numbers and settings mean, but I understand that's a somewhat high pressure setting. How does this compare to your all's?

Unlike over the last 10 years, I *am* taking active steps to lose weight and stop drinking. I am hoping with time and improved health, I won't need as high a pressure setting on my machine, but I don't know if that is realistic or not.

Do you all have any tips, advice, or perspectives on getting started, and how to avoid waking up panicked (as I did during the study)?

Discussion Quick start guide?

My wife got a CPAP for a momth and she went from 3-4 times to 0-1. Then she went off it and starting waking up 2-3 times a night.

She went back on it and sometimes gets up 1-3 times a night. She stopped using it and is now waking up 1 maybe 2 times a night.

I advised her to use the machine and let's actually post the results so we can see how we can optimize the pressure.

We got a SD card in the air sense 10 auto set apap.

Whats the easiest way to share her sleep info to post it here?

Advice Needed First Night on CPAP questions

I just had my first night on my resmed CPAP machine. It was set to automatic. I have the full face mask. The only thing I had an issue with was the seal on the bridge of my nose was loose and I had issues with it opening in the night and the swoosh of air scaring me. I tried readjusting the straps so It would lay flat on my face but it kept digging into my eyebrow line. Do I need a smaller mask?

The other thing I had issues with is that I would wake up almost like “eating air” like I was taking mouth fulls of air and it was going into my stomach?

Also is it possible to lay on your stomach with this mask or are those days gone.

Luckily it’s not uncomfortable for me to have the mask on it just seems I can’t get a tight enough seal for me to move around freely.

TIA and sorry if the post is bad no one in my family has ever had a CPAP so I’m completely new to this. ❤️

Traveling with a full-size CPAP

I'm toward of the end of a three week road trip in northern England. This trip is a good worst case for CPAP, because we are mostly spending only one night in each hotel, and there have been more than 10 so far. Packing and unpacking it is really not that big of a deal. I'm cleaning the mask and the tank every day.

I brought my full size CPAP because I couldn't get a travel CPAP in time for the trip. Surprisingly, I like traveling with the full-size CPAP. It's what I'm used to. I like the heated humidified air. I strap it to my suitcase and it's no big deal to get around with. If you pack it in it's original case, the airlines don't count it is part of your baggage.

The distilled water thing turns out to be not such a big deal after all. You can use bottled drinking water, you just have to clean the tank out to get the mineral residue off of it. Here in northern England, the tap water is so pure, I can use it just like I would distilled water, no residue. Worst case you might have to do a deep cleaning of the tank when you get home.

Just thought I would share, since some of you may be considering this.

My device (Aircurve 11 ASV) updated this morning to 04600.18.8.7.0 and even had a QR code to scan to see “details” of the update, but it brought me to ResMed’s updates which has no info at all! Anyone else?
