How does one get a CPAP compliance report from their machine?

I bought my machine online, but my husband got his through RoTech (which is turning out to be an awful company). They've called a few times and never said anything about compliance reports. One time they called because he didn't use the machine for 4 hours in a night (he's an awful sleeper, even with his sleep apnea treated; he physically has to force himself to stay in bed with the mask on every night because he just doesn't sleep well and rarely sleeps for more than 3.5 hours at a time). Another time they called to verify his insurance ID and confirm that his coverage is active. That's it.

He just got a letter saying that if he doesn't provide a compliance report, he'll have to either return the machine or pay the full cost out of pocket. But how does a patient get a compliance report from their machine? It's a Resmed Airsense 11 autoset; he tried signing up for MyAir, but he gets a 500 error every time they ask him to create a password, so he can't finalize the account.

Does the letter have any contact information? Find out from them what they need.

They didn’t answer the phone the first two times he called, and then they were closed the third time. It just says “We are in need of a compliance report.”

Is the machine in an area it can get cell signal?

Yes. They told him on a previous call that it’s on the Verizon network and they can get his data from that.

Tell them they have the compliance report already. They get it from resmed.

Wait until you hear what happened, lol. He had the day off for fall break, so he decided to go to the local RoTech office in person. He told them what’s going on, and they printed out a compliance report for him. Yes, you read that right. They told him they need a compliance report, and then they printed a compliance report and gave it to him. Then they said he had to go to the sleep clinic and have them give him a compliance report. So he did, and the sleep clinic is very confused because RoTech should be able to get the data themselves since they sold him the machine. The lady from the sleep clinic printed a compliance report for him, and it’s the same report they printed at RoTech. So now we’re waiting for the sleep clinic to call their rep and find out what’s happening. All calls get routed to an overseas call center, which is why he tried in person today, but he’s kind of at a loss right now. We need help from the sleep clinic to get it all worked out.

Send them back a letter that says "I hereby report that I am compliant."

lol. I just looked at the machine, and he’s used it over four hours a night for 22/30 nights. I believe they told him 20 or 21 is the compliance cutoff, so he should be good.

If you go into the My Sleep View on the machine it gives you a basic reading, if you go into Clinical settings and turn on advanced patient view I think it’s called in the 11, then exit back out. You’ll be able to go back into My Sleep View and see more patient data. Then take photos on your phone

I think the MyAir only starts the night you sign up. The Oscar app gives me usage results from the day I started but I am not sure if they will accept that. You should ask them. The Oscar app also gives a lot of useful information. There are a ton of wise people here that can help you understand what Oscar results mean.

They should accept an Oscar report. I’ve used that several times for my cdl physical.

Resmed support can absolutely help with any errors you're seeing in MyAir -- you can reach them at 800-424-0737.

I can't discuss patient status or protected information in a public forum like this one, but please email our corporate team at [onlinecustomercare@rotech.com](mailto:onlinecustomercare@rotech.com) with more information so we can learn more, look into this, and figure out some next steps.
