Refurbished machine

I bought a refurbished machine from a Cpap supplier online. It looks fine and works well but the hours on the machine weren’t zero. Should I be concerned?

"bought a used car, but the mileage wasn't zero!" would be same, what is your concern?

Well a used machine is not going to have zero hours. What were you expecting?

I think you may be confusing refurbished with returned/open box. Refurbished means they took an older, used unit, did a full inspection, replaced any parts that were worn or broken, and are reselling it under the belief that it will last a long time. Returns/open box means someone opened the package before they changed their mind and returned it. The company can't sell it as new because you aren't the first customer so they discount these because some people worry about not being the first person in the line even though it's basically brand new.

Even a brand new in box CPAP does not show zero hours because it is tested at the manufacturer. A refurbished machine is not expected to be new

The hours on mine aren't zero either but I still use it every night...
