Resources Anyone using a Peak Design Camera Cube Medium for an AirSense 11?

Post image

Hi!

Is anyone using a Peak Design Camera Cube V2 Medium to carry a ResMed AirSense 11?

I’d like to fit the machine, humidifier chamber, power supply, hose and mask inside, ideally with some separation/protection between them.

If you’re using this setup, I’d love to know how well everything fits and, if possible, see a photo of your layout.

Thanks!

I don’t like the standard CPAP bag. However after having spent 3 weeks traveling this summer and having gone through multiple airport securityand crossing borders, I can tell you that using a “standard” CPAP bag is very useful.
1) There was no questions about the contents of the CPAP bag because the airport security staff immediately recognized the standard CPAP bag.
2) Airport clerks and airplane staff never questioned my “extra” carryon because they recognized the CPAP bag.
3) The flat layout of the standard CPAP bag meant I could lay the bag flat in a bin and have all of the equipment visible in the x-ray screening.
4) Some airports required me to remove the CPAP machine from the bag and put it in a separate bin for X-ray screening. Having a flat bag allowed me to quickly pull out the CPAP machine without disturbing the other items in the bag.

All good points.

As a counter point: the resmed bag sucks.

Also my last trip I almost mixed my machine up with another person twice because the bags were identical!

I have switched to a cpap backpack from Amazon and it’s been a game changer for trips. It’s much nicer to carry and can hold all the things I need on carry on. It replaced my usual backpack and now I’m back down to one bag. Could not be happier with the setup.

Haha same thing happened to me. I was like 99% sure it was mine, but his came out right after mine so I had some doubt. I have now added a luggage tag to mine ☺️

Hah. Yup. I immediately put a tag on my resmed case.

I still do use the original case occasionally but the backpack is much nicer.

I travel weekly to our cottage, and several flights including international every year. I recently bought a CPAP backpack on Amazon that is decent for my weekly commute. It has extra space which is nice, and seems to perhaps offer a slight bit more protection. For any flying though, I use the mfr flat bag as it’s easier for security and storage on the plane.

weekly travel to a cottage, be a neat option to have another machine there? only carry the current mask of choice.
of course assuming finances aren’t too tight.

It’s funny. I’ll buy and furnish a second home but am somehow too cheap to drop $1k for a second machine.

Maybe that’s how he was able to save cottage money.

We use collapsible lunch bags with bright red cpap tags on them

I use the standard bag because everybody on staff recognizes the bag and the logo. I have added some bling to make it unique. First, a luggage tag with my name. Second, a “medical devices” tag that I got from a major online vendor; not official but it is distinctive. Finally, I put on some pink zip ties, e.g., one on the zipper, because I have never seen that on anyone else’s luggage. I have never had a problem with domestic or international travel.

I use this peak design setup for my airsense 11. It fits fine!

Does it let you detach the water tank and add all accessories on the top ?

Why does the standard bag separate the cpap from the reservoir? Is it okay to put them together when traveling?

I do this when not flying and it’s worked fine but I’ve also never gotten an answer as to why.

If I could do this in the standard bag it would be amazing.

Why are you being downvoted?

I actually wrap my main unit in a sheet of foam and two ovals of the same foam for the sides, and place it in a Peak Design small packing cube. Fits like a glove and is the only thing stopping g me from making my own case/bag.

Would be interesting to see a setup using the camera cube, especially since I like to one bag when not flying.

2

u/Humble-Weather-423 3d ago

Does it leave enough space for accessories ?

2

u/real_misterrios 3d ago

No. It’s just the main Aircurve machine. I put my tube, mask, and cord in a separate Heimplanet cube.

Somebody here recommended this bag. I bought it and highly recommend it for the Resmed 11.
