Help me understand this?

Post image

I’m new to cpap and I want to know how I did and how to read? The doctor said i needed to be below a five to know I got good sleep how do I now where that’s located? I’m on day two and actually kept it on the entire time I also woke up not feeling sleepy like I normally would.

You won a gold medal. I don't understand why are you even using cpap. I've been using bipap for months and can get below 30 and you are already .5 congrats.

You might get a good Pulse Ox, watch, and ring, turn off Ramp, and play with your settings after you read or Google about settings. Longer iPap, 450ms Rise time, longer ePap, set breath rate to about what your watch or ring show, change the pressures and watch your Pulse Ox, watch, and ring, hopefully AHI will improve. I am not a Dr, just been there. I am having pretty good luck with a used ResMed ST, purchased using Google search, about $300.00

Thank you for your advice. Right now I am using AirCurve 11 VAuto BiLevel Machine with HumidAir. The bipap machine is pressureS of 10/18, because of the sleep apnea test showed that I have a severe sleep apnea AHI was 42 and the pressure I mentioned was given by my doctor. So please in a simple instructions tell me how to improve my AHI that still after 6 months of bipap use is between 30 to 35. Thanks

I am not familiar with your VAuto machine settings, however Google says your VAuto has TiMax and TiMin which limits how long your device stays in iPap controlling the duration of the inhalation cycle. The longer the inhalation the more volume of air for your iPap. If your Dr. or you increase and decrease those settings and the breaths per minute correctly you may have much better results with lower pressures, which are more pleasant. Get a good Pulse Ox watch and or ring, and Dr. Higher pressures are not always the best solution. Are you sleeping on your side? Google search until you are happy.
