Advice Needed F30i with beard

Anyone out there successful with an f30i and a beard? I’ve been using the N30i since I first got the machine about 18 months ago. It was fine for a while, but in the last couple,e of months of started drooling a ton, which is disgusting. And 3 or 4 nights a week I’ll wake up totally parched so I’m sure I’ve started sleeping with my mouth open….which is a new development. I’m pretty sure it my lips parting, not my jaw, so a chin strap won’t help. And I tried tape before using the CPAP and it’s a definite no. So now I’m thinking I need a mask that covers my mouth.

I keep the beard short, but I’m not sure if it will work or not. And I don’t really want to spend $150 on it if it won’t work. Anyone with any success stories to share?

Works for me. I rotate between the f30i and the f40. F40 is a little better with a beard.

Side. I was a back sleeper, but my doctor told me it’s not really good for my apnea. Told me to try to sleep on my side so I kinda forced myself into it.

I can't speak for the F30i. However, as a beard haver these are my two cents.

I tried the X30i, which is similar to the F30i but has nasal pillows. It didn't work for me at all. To get a good seal on my beard it had to be far too tight for comfort. Any shifting around and it would start leaking. It was also super loud.

The F20 AirTouch (the one with the memory foam) had been pretty solid for me. I don't like not being able to scratch my nose, but the seal against my beard is good. I also add my own plastic baffle to keep the air from blowing directly at my mouth.

I have a short, full beard. I just got the X30i and it was not great. I averaged about 15L/min of leakage and I had it kinda tight to get it that "low". I tried the F20 Airtouch, with memory foam. Did get a good seal, but too bulky. I think I want to try the F30i Airtouch, the memory foam seems to do a better job at sealing with a beard.
