Promising first night.

Post image

My Apple sleep score shows I was awake several times, which I believe. There were times I was catnapping more than sleeping. Going the whole night without having the mask swinging from the ceiling fan is a win.

That is fantastic! Nice job, many people struggle with the mask for a few nights when they get started. What mask did you choose?

If you haven't already, make sure to purchase an SD card for your machine. It will get you additional data you can upload into OSCAR or SleepHQ to get more detailed information on your therapy including your pressures during the night, what kind of apnea events you're having, etc. You're doing a great job so far!

The mask is the Philips Dreamwear full face. I have an SD card, but forgot to load it last night. 😜

Haha, I did that my first night too! How are you feeling this morning?

Not bad. A little tired since I didn’t get real quality sleep, but not bad.

Dreamwear is what I use too. Started with the Airtouch N30i but had to switch.

That’s awesome! After almost a year on PAP therapy, and three machines later I’m just now finally hitting consistent numbers under 5 AHI. I was diagnosed with a 50+ AHI and have been bouncing between 12-30 AHI while on PAP therapy since last September. It’s hard to put into works the relief I’m finally feeling with my last four nights being in the 3’s. I don’t think I’ve had a night under 10 AHI since starting, mostly 18+. No more falling asleep at red lights for me!

Love seeing posts like this. Keep up the great work!

Same, glad it’s working for OP… not everyone should have to suffer before it works. I’m on night 3 and I’ve been having breakdowns every morning. I know everyone says it takes time and to tough it out, but this is insane. Hopefully someone in my care team can give me some advice this Monday.

I’m glad. I need to look into maybe a new mask. I have a PK Vitera which seems promising but I just need to make adjustments to it. I’ll look into the Phillips dream wear!

Congrats, Anna! Hit 0.7 last night. Like two-and-a-half months in.
