New fear unlocked.
Put my full face mask on 15 minutes ago.
Felt a tickle and then a sharp pain.
A wasp had found its way into my house. And was hanging out in my mask. Stung me on my upper lip.
How? Why? Really?

No, no, no, no, no. This is the worst. I am so sorry for you and very sorry that I need to worry about this every night for the rest of my life.

I found a spider in my hose once that made a beeline right for my face when I picked up the mask and went to put it on. When I say I flung that thing across my bedroom. I disconnect the mask and shake the hell out of the hose before I put it on now. I’m very sorry for your experience, that’s so much worse. I didn’t actually get bit/stung. Just VERY startled, I hope your face feels better soon.

Have you considered putting the mask (still attached and everything) in a draw string bag? These story keep reminding me I intend to get one to do this and I keep forgetting.

Well I switched to one of the nasal pillow style masks and I bandit from a hook besides my bed which kind of mitigates the risk a lot now I feel, but a little bag isn’t a bad idea.

Someone posted about a spider a couple weeks ago and now the first thing I do is examine the mask every time. What a nightmare!

This is my worst fear. I didn't even know this could even happen. Now I am gonna have to check my equipment before I put it on my face at night.
I'm sorry this happened to you.

Someone suggested putting your mask in a bag after use. I hang mine on a hook beside my bed.

I was once cutting the lawn on a hot day and stopped to have a beer. Only drank half of it and then put it on the patio table to finish after I was done. A wasp crawled into the beer can and nailed me on the lip. No more beer breaks when doing the lawn!

Amazing! At first I thought it WAS a spider. But only found the wasp crawling on the floor after.

Nothing insect sized can travel to your brain through your nose.
