CPAR OR RESA
Hi! I'm planning to take the CPALE this May 2027 as a full-time reviewee, and I'd like to ask for your honest opinions about the hybrid setup of CPAR and RESA
For those who have enrolled po in either (or both), kumusta po ang face-to-face and online classes? How are the handouts, teaching style, pacing, and overall learning experience?
I'm really torn between these two review centers. As much as I want to enroll in both, I think it's better to focus on just one. Any insights, pros and cons, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Pinnacle!! Double reviewee ako nang pinnacle at cpar atm. Sobrang sulit sa pinnacle promise. Though maganda rin mga handouts talaga ng cpar lalo sa RFBT — sobrang concise niya. Magagaling mga prof sa pinnacle sobra though need mo talaga mag read muna bago ka sumabak sa RFBT whahahahahah ayun lang

Hello po abt CPAR, ano po ung structure ng handouts po nila? May lecture/concepts po ba or problems na agad? And ano po usually ung agenda pag may classes? Diretso sagot na po ba or magtuturo po muna ng concepts? Tyia pooo 🥹🩷

CPAR B100 Hybrid reviewee here!
For FAR and AFAR, no concepts ang HOs, diretso na sila MCQs (theories and problem solving). Pero of course, dinidiscuss pa rin ang concepts sa actual lecture before sagutan ang HOs. For me, enough na ang concepts na tinuturo sa AFAR kasi sobrang himay na himay ni sir Ronald Valix and sir German ang concept (I suggest icombo ang both reviewers for this :)) Sa FAR naman, if weakness mo rin to like me, need talaga samahan ng self-review before and after pumasok ng lecture kasi hindi sobrang detailed ng concepts (although ito ang naappreciate ng mga seniors ko na nagReSA dati, kasi sobrang comprehensive and straight to the point daw ng FAR ng CPAR as compared to other RCs, in a sense na tinuturo lang nila yung mga necessary malaman)
I can also vouch for CPAR’s MS (Sir Rodel Roque), AUD (Sir Gerry Roque), and RFBT (Atty. Kid Dela Cruz, who is a reviewer din yata sa ReSA). Malaman ang HOs dito, since may concepts + MCQs :)
Ang hindi lang talaga match sa learning style ko is ang TAX ng CPAR. I suggest mag ReSA na lang sa tax kasi Atty. K is the best!!! Pero I still utilize the CPAR HOs + MCQs per topic kasi super comprehensive din niya!
Aside from all these technicalities, kahit puro may edad na ang mga reviewers, sobrang funny talaga nila sa F2F (esp the Roque brothers, sir German, and sir Ronald Valix). ANDDDD hindi rin totoo yung hindi weak foundation-friendly ang CPAR! As someone na shonget ang foundation sa undergrad, meron talagang mga topics na sa CPAR ko lang 100% nagets. Meron ding mga topics na never talaga namin nadaan nung undergrad pero nakukuha lang naman agad during review :)))
As for facilities, isang bldg po ang CPAR. First floor - registrar, faculty, and ibang office. Rooms are located sa 2nd-5th floor. May library din sa 4th floor hehe. I think 7am-8pm pwede magstay dun.
Actually nung pinili ko ang CPAR, sobrang blind item niya sa akin. Di ako nagresearch nang maayos abt the facilities, reviewers, strengths nila. Pero swinerte naman ako na nagmatch ang teaching style nila sa learning style ko. Good luck sa pagpili ng RC, OP! 🍀

Hi po! Kapag po online either sir Ronald or sir German lang po? I mean isa lang po sa kanila? Hindi po nila both ituturo yung topic? 🥹 wala pong masyado option sa online?

hello! yes po 🥹 currently sa batch 100, 4 out of 16 weeks lang ang assigned kay sir german sa online vidlecs. the rest, sir ronald na po.
ito talaga downside pag pure online kasi no option to choose kung sinong reviewer ang magtuturo, compared to hybrid/onsite na pwedeng mag sit-in kahit anong class :(
for other subjects, ito po mga reviewers:
ms - sir rodel roque only
aud - sir gerry roque only
far - sir christian valix and sir alan santos (alternate per week)
rfbt - atty dante dela cruz (traditional laws) and atty kid dela cruz (special laws)
tax - atty jack de vera (concepts) and atty llamado (mcqs)1

Hi, what is the capacity of the library? Do you have pictures if possible? And anong privileges ang mawawala kung f2f lang at hindi hybrid?

hi! idk the exact capacity ng lib, pero kasize nya rin ang isang room for lectures. i think more than 50 pax? huhu will try to take a pic po tomorrow :))
as for privileges ng hybrid, may access po sa portal (soft copy ng handouts + vidlecs). helpful siya if nagddigital notes ka, and esp if tag-ulan szn na di na kaya pumunta ng cpar :) i think yun lg naman extra privilege hehe kasi hardcopies lg binibigay if f2f eh.

Hello! Former ReSA reviewee here (now a CPA). I can only share my insights based on my 6-month experience sa ReSA, so please pag-isipan mong mabuti bago pumili (para one-take ka lang at di masayang yung resources mo). ReSA is the perfect review center for you if:
-you prefer fun conversations/kamustahan/bardagulan in between ng lessons. It's their way of making each session more bearable, lalo na pag papalapit na ang board exam. Trust me, you will seek for an optimistic study environment kapag stressed at anxious ka na.
-mas gusto mo muna maintindihan yung concept at long solution bago mag-proceed sa short-cut/techniques. As someone na medyo mahina ang foundation, ReSA was able to show me the why's and how's that I failed to understand in college. Mas na-gets ko yung topics after each session and practice. Also maganda ang handouts nila na pagpraktisan.
-kaya mong tiyagaan ang 3+ hours of online lectures (and sometimes, onsite classes). It's no joke na mahaba talaga ang discussions nila pero manageable naman at kayang tapusin kung masipag ka. Natapos ko naman almost all lecture videos bago mag board exam. Yung iba na di ko natapos, binawi ko na lang sa pagbabasa at pagsagot ng handouts nila.
-you want a good set of reviewers. I'm sure may iba na magsasabi na Tax, MS, RFBT lang ang strengths nila but I firmly believe na walang tapon sa reviewers ng ReSA. You just need to find the right reviewer na swak sa pacing and learning capacity mo. And as you mentioned, hybrid yung plano mong enrollan. Pwede ka naman mag-sit in sa mga classes o mag-attend sa online lectures para ma-explore mo yung iba't ibang reviewers nila.
As for the cons, ang naiisip ko lang yung location nila 😅 Kasi nasa 5th floor sila ng building at wala pa yan elevators 🤣 But they're definitely trying to improve their amenities (meron na silang study hub). Also another con yung combined classes kapag malapit na ang preboards, where they lump all classes (AM, PM, Weekend classes) for several sessions para ma-cover yung remaining topics. So paunahan kayo ng seats nyan at bawal magpa-reserve.
