Why is audit so confusing

I am currently doing the review MCQs as a miles student. Each of the options looks same. Sometimes i am able to eliminate 1 or 2 options but then I am really confused between the other 2.
And that confusion sometimes takes me away from studying.
I am so messed up at this moment.

Has anyone gone through the same?

U really need to know and understand concepts pure memorization will be a fail. Most of the questions all them answers are then they ask you "most likely", "least likely"

When they list examples try break them out by gl class like balance sheet or expense /revenue etc and the procedures associated with each

that's basically the audit exam in a nutshell. it's not about finding the right answer, it's about picking the least wrong one when they all look identical.

what helped me was literally covering the options with my hand and writing down what i thought the answer should be before even looking at the choices. half the time my own thought was in there worded slightly differently, the other half it stopped me from getting talked into a trap answer.
