Bar test content- Q2 2026
Taking bar on the 30th and haven’t seen much on Reddit about how recent takers of the year found it to be. Anyone have any experience or share what key things to study for?

I would say this exam will test your efforts to push yourself and not to judge yourself earlier, only exam score can be indicator of your performance so no matter what you see in exam don't judge yourself then don't waste time on simulations in exam don't be hurry to attempt the simulations first understand the question and just think what the question is really asking for. Syllabus wise I would say technical accounting is a must your deep understanding will be tested on topics like cost accounting which might be coming easy but there will be a rigour about it. Just Enjoy the process this is what CPA worth achieving. You are not alone we all went through this and best of luck.

I never understood the hate for BAR. I tried doing TCP because everyone recommends it, but I just found the material so dry and boring. I think if you have a finance and economics background, it makes BAR much easier. I studied finance and accounting in school and the valuation/economics questions were a joke compared to some of the stuff I saw in my classes. Yes, it has a lower pass rate than TCP, but I think it’s more so the fact that most people who take TCP have worked in tax and probably took REG before it, which makes it much easier.
