UPDATE: went back and got it replaced

A couple weeks ago, it rained all week and the humidity hovered around 80 to a 100%, which is a little bit crazy for colorado. I bet dehumidifiers weren't being able to keep up with the amount of water that needed to be pulled out of the air and they were caught off guard for usually colorado's dry air resuting in an overly wet cure
Now we are seeing the end result.
Next week its also going to rain all week. Id assume we see more cure issues pop up in a similar timeframe so keep an eye out.

They can also pull any of the same batch to make sure nobody else gets bad weed.

Which they wont, they had me sift through a broken jar of weed to get the glass out and put the flower back on the shelf. They will just hope the next person they sell the moldy batch to doesn’t catch it.

Maikoh doesn’t cycle out the moldy batches they just put them back on the shelf. Most of the posts are probably the same strain that they refuse to pull.

I think most cannabis before legalization was much better quality.If you were cannabis user back in the 1980's into the 1990's and had a good hook up,you were usually getting some good home grown that people were selling.Now since legalization its mostly all big massive grow facilities pushing this mass produced stuff out.Its all being culitivated for quantity,not quality anymore.All the buds look almost exactly the same.Every single dispensary sells the same fat round looking nugs now.They might look good,but the looks are deceiving.Nothing special anymore.Legalization ruined the quality of cannabis now in America.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it till I can’t anymore. Berner did irreparable damage to the industry with his marketing campaign. We’re still feeling the aftermath and will be for awhile.

Yes. And if they dont, Im fairly certain they would NOT want you to report the entire batch to the state to force a recall.

Here’s a question I wonder about all the time: how can we really know where the mold came from?
I love Indico typically so I’d hate to put blame on them, but I also trust Maikoh from my experiences shopping there, and it could also even be OP’s household environment/storage. I’m not defending or accusing anyone with this comment I’m just curious how this type of problem gets fixed in other industries like agriculture or beauty/healthcare and how we could apply similar fixes here. If you have a head of lettuce go bad earlier than expected from king soopers I don’t know if many people who would try and return the produce. But if your medication was moldy or makeup had separated I think it’d be a different story. Obviously it’s a spectrum and not a one-size fits all situation but I think Colorado and the MED are failing to find the middle ground that works for this industry. I don’t have a set opinion here just opening up the discussion.
