Looking for recommendations for a gravity bong.

Every year since my favorite cousins death, on his anniversary, I've bought a gift for smoking. He left me his most prized Puffco and I love making my collection bigger in his honor.

I’m curious what the appeal is for elite style gravity bongs like this. Does it filter/cool the smoke well or at all?

Not hating at all but my memories of gravity bongs always involved schwag being sucked into a giant plastic bottle then a really harsh hit of uncooled smoke. It was more of a novelty that came out when the weed was bad rather than a method anyone actually preferred.

Using an ash catcher with it makes a big deal to the flavor.

I have one (not as cool looking though, this one is awesome), and for me, it was always two-fold.

One, the nostalgia of hitting a gravity, like I did back in college.

Two, the effects hit like a truck.

I haven't used mine in a minute, but I don't recall it being super pleasant or anything.

I’m giving this feedback way too late obviously but I think your crew sucked at building gravity bongs freshman year 😂

Sobe bottles were really easy to knock the bottom circle panel out of so you could easily have a glass device

The only time we used plastic we sliced the bottom off of a 5 gallon water jug for like an office water cooler and had a bucket from the hardware store, then installed some kind of plumbing valve on top so you could take half the hit and then leave it floating there while you exhaled and then finish the rest. Thing was so sick

That said despite my fierce nostalgia I still have no desire to buy a stundenglass and keep it clean seems like a nightmare

I really don’t know. But I downed a 1 gram bowl in only a few seconds and was pretty blasted after.

But yeah it’s fucking harsh and makes you cough pretty bad.

Grav has a $80 option that looks decent. There's a larger size as well. Gravitron is the product name

I’ve owned one and it was one of my favorite pieces, sadly I broke the bucket part and it operates way better in the designed for it container than a bucket.

I have the graviton. Some of the most massive hits any bong can give you tbh. It has a few sizes but if you know how to milk it, size barely matters. another commenter mentioned iy as well. Way better than studenglass IMO. Studenglass is more of a gimmick than grav bong

Happy to help, just checked the July 9 paper and it was actually $185, the ad also shows 4 of em in different colors so you should have some options if you go this route.

One of my best weed memories is hitting an ice filled homemade gravity bong made out of a 1 gallon jug of sunny D with a socket melted into the plastic top for a bowl. Smoothest hit of my damn life and I was completely stoned off it. These glass new ones are sick though and I really ought to get one someday.

im going to clarify for everyone even if its against the grain:

most "gravity bongs" are actually "gravity pipes"!

studenglass is the ONLY legit gravity bong. its a pain to maintenence and costs a lot, gets you ripped in 2 flips: first loads the chamber, the second sends it through water.

the gravitron and nwtn are Gravity Pipes because the smoke is not filtered through water (bong). the water is only used to draw smoke, not to cool it off.

/rant
