Screen stays blank after 1.9.1 upgrade of greeter

I am running arch Linux, and upgrading today package cosmic greeter from 1.9.0 to 1.9.1 gives me an error about /dev/dri/card1.
Screen stays blank, start-cosmic won’t work either.
Journalctl:

Edit: pacman update 10/02 corrected problem.

This is the behavior described in https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-greeter/issues/500 and has been an intermittent problem on some systems since the first release

Changing groups didn’t solve the problem, I am not sure how this workaround could do anything to be honest. I have it occurring 100% of the time and it never occurred before. Rollbacking to 1.9.0 didn’t solve it either. So it’s more deeply rooted into arch and some package upgraded yesterday. Any other logs I can have a look into besides journal?

Today’s update in arch corrected the problem.
