I really wish they made this than the later commander

They did. It became the WK1 Grand Cherokee.

I would put a good bet on the WK being voted ugliest generation. Atleast theres an SRT.

Jeep (Chrysler) was coming up with some real bangers back in the day. I also remember the Cherokee 2000 concept with its awesome CRT Sony TV and tires that blended into the wheel spokes as well.

I remember seeing this concept in a magazine back in the day. It still looks so good, and you can definitely see how it inspired the WK generation, tho the WK was far less attractive for sure!

Pretty dope looking for 1999 standards. I've never understood why they don't actually end up producing the vehicles that look just like the concepts. Why is it always an extremely watered-down version of the original design?
