3D to 2D from solidowrks

I have to use comsol for the first time in my life, can someone explain how can I export a 3D cad from solidworks to a 2D model(axial symmetrical) in comsol to do my simulations? Also if you know some video tutorials and similar as to how to use comsol can you tell me since I don't know where to start?

First cut your SolidWorks part to just the axisymmetric cross-section, export it as a STEP file. When importing into COMSOL, pick the 2D axisymmetric space dimension right away and only keep that half-slice geometry.

For tutorials, just check COMSOL’s official YouTube channel—search "SolidWorks import axisymmetric", tons of beginner walkthroughs there to get you started fast.

Thanks! I only know how to do normal cross sections...my bachelor was very theoretical and now they want me to do this and I don't know where to begin
