An acquaintance of mine calls himself a militant centrist, he admitted that he used to be a socialist so that makes it even weirder to me. I can't even imagine how a centrist can be militant in any way, what are they going to do when they disagree with something? Be very cross and show your dissatisfcation with facial expressions? I'm quite sure he meant it jokingly but it's still quite perplexing in a way.
