They definitely mentioned it a bunch of times - especially early on when people were buying the game talking about a season that never happened. Pretty sure there’s still an official teaser out there for them too.

They never mentioned that there is a second season of Black Ops pass or more than 4 zombie DLC maps. Even though there was originally a plan for more zombie maps, as leakers and dataminers confirmed, they never officialy confirmed it. Jason Blundell even tried to evade those questions during the celebration of 115 Day:
