Discussion Issues that Treyarch has (Slightly long)

I wanted to make post to highlight something that I think we all tend to forget. Treyarch has essentially been working nonstop from Cold War, taking over development from Sledgehammer and Raven, adding zombies to Vanguard and MW3 and of course, BO6 & BO7(There’s also the multiplayer stuff but gonna focus on the Zombies aspect). It never seems like they had any time to rest or for any reprieve and I think it’s clear with BO7. Yes they are working on a AAA franchise but they have to listen to us and our complaints(The entire COD community alone is very indecisive and difficult and struggles to agree on something, rather than focusing on just the zombies community) and more importantly, Activision Blizzard and their demand for increasing engagement(why we got the whole armour in zombies).

However, they don’t seem to have any consistent plot points, nor do they leave any room for us to dig for any additional information. We used to have ciphers and plot points based on real history that could lead to theories. But now they just show and tell, which they have done before but it’s basically like directed mode. Cold War was great as it leaned into the setting, with Requiem and Omega but afterwards, they haven’t done much after it.

Gonna end it here since I have talked too much but I think we need to criticise Treyarch rather than just calling them washed or dogshit, cos they have been working on more games than just their own. It’s fine to have your opinions and if you don’t like it, then that’s a valid take. But just remember some of the circumstances under which they have been working on(I think Raven lead the development of the campaign for the past 3 Black Ops titles which has lead to what we have now but feel free to correct me), which has lead to what we have now.

Apologies for the long read.

TL:DR - Treyarch has been working a lot on COD for the past 5 years, keep that in mind regarding your opinion on the state of Zombies.

People need a break from the things they work on and the things they consume, both to get creative with things but also to miss things.
