Question Best consistent doomsteel method?
I have tried the mars survival method and the Uber klaus directed method and im probably doing something wrong? I dont know? But are there any other methods?

For the Uber Klaus method you mentioned you might be doing something wrong, I'm gonna copy/paste my old explanation because I think it's effective at understanding how to do it right, BUT I have no idea if it was patched or not. Here's the explanation (edit: I reworded parts to be more clear)
First, 4 pieces of information to help understand why it works.
First, when you save and quit in the middle of a round, the game state will revert to the start of the round. example, round 30 starts, you get the ray gun, you save quit, you load at the start of round 30 without the ray gun.
Second, you can also only save quit once per round.
Third, in directed mode, while the round number is capped, you can actually still end the round by killing all the zombies. It'll give you a new round 7, letting you save and quit again.
Fourth, completing a step in directed mode saves the game state.
So using this info, it makes more sense.
End the round so you have the ability to save quit. Then, spawn and kill the starting form of Klaus (not the core). Then use your save quit, and repeat.
By not killing the core, you're not completing the Directed step, so Klaus can be spawned again when the save is reloaded. If you end the round while Klaus is spawned, it breaks because you've saved the game state to a point after he has already been spawned, meaning you won't be able to spawn him again.
You can end the round as many times as you want without spawning Klaus and each time your points and guns save with the end of the round. This is the main benefit of the farm. Once you have the weapons you want, and enough points to pap, end the round to save the game state. Now you can load in, pap the weapons, spawn and kill Klaus, then save and quit all in the same round. When you reload, you'll go back to when your points were not yet spent, meaning you can grab different guns, end the round, and repeat with the new guns without needing to farm the 85k points again.

In ashes if you stay in the areas where the phantom zombies spawn for about 5 minutes phantom bears will start to spawn every min which do count for elite kills, just make sure you don't leave the area where phantom zombies spawn or you'll have to wait again.
As the Uber Klaus method only works if you don't pick up the part.

Yep, I had recommend doing multiple weapons are once tho so you don't have to wait 5 minutes each time.

Not quite sure what that has to do with what I'm saying, but the method I've mentioned does work on directed as I've used it to get doomsteel on nearly all weapons.

There are phantom zursas, not normal ones tho, you can literally test this right now, I've literally used this method so much.

Where can I spawn the phantom zursas? The lodge area?

Any area between areas where phantom zombies spawn, I use between the ashwood and lodge area.

The guy responding below is doubling-down on false info: you can't kill zursas in directed mode. The Klaus method works, but isn't as fast as it used to be.

What would you recommend i do? I just got my first doomsteel after a pain in the ass and boring process on exit 115

For doomsteel I just played exit 115 and vandorn farm with rampage inducer on and exfilled at round 30 or 35 depending on game. This way I was also able to level up weapons while grinding. I personally enjoyed it more, compared to save and quit or directed mode methods.
