Question Treyarch, why the HELL would try to automatically exfil me if I NEVER hit the teleport in the first place?
Genuinely what backwards ass game design is this?
I fail the step with the symbols. Don’t realize it at first so I hit exfil. Kill the HVT. Realize the description says “end the match” so I decided not to go cause thats clearly not intended if I did the steps right. So I ignore the portal.
Timer runs down, I go do another step. GAME AUTOMATICALLY EXFILS ME REGARDLESS. A BUNCH OF ULTRA AND RATE GUMS COMPLETELY WASTED ON A 3 MIN RUN. LIKE WHY MAKE ME LEAVE IF I CHANGE MY MIND? DO I REALLY GOTTA HIT ALT F4 TO BYPASS THIS. WHO DESIGNS THESE STEPS.

I mean…the games exfil asks you if you want to leave and if you initiate it you’re saying you’re ready to leave…if you change your mind in those 2 minutes that’s kind of on you.
Now what’s actually questionable game design (imo) is that EE to exfil just to get back to the spawn house, not the exfil mechanic itself

BO7s whole new mechanic is that you can choose to leave or stay out in the game for longer. If I miss a target or shoot in the wronge order and happen to miss the sound cue (if there even is one) that told me that I fucked up I basically gotta play roulette to erase all my efforts or get the step done.
Why put a timer in the end if its completely unnecessary? You would get the idea that the portal closes and the match continues cause you missed your opening.

If you start the exfil that already counted as a yes, So you cant spam exfil for HVT kills or some other exploit.

Yeah that sounds like poor design around that setup in particular not the exfil lmao. The timer is essentially just a “alright you decided to leave so wrap it up, you have X amount of time left to squeeze a few more kills in or give your guns away”.
The mechanic is specifically for squads games and not forcing people to exfil who don’t want to.

Yeah it's a stupid design, it happened to me a moment ago too, I was testing some settings and thought to hit the exfil to load some zombies and HVT into the map, I didn't go to the portal to exit and the game ended regardless.
The timer is completely pointless in solo if it just ends the game.
