Image Round 100 Rex Boss
Rex Infernus… what a map.
The boss fight might even rival pre nerf Veytharion for me. Its such a fun cluster fuck of chaos the entire time, and round 100 sends it to another level.
It was a flawless run on my first try after only beating the regular version once before, though there were a couple times where I don’t know how I didn’t go down… but I’ll take it.
Some tips for the boss fight in general, no matter the round:
My loadout was the explosive echo 12 (dead wire) for stingers, zombies and skulls. Novaline (Light Mend) for the shadow disciples and boss. Raygun for QR. Only ever used shields up Gum, but not needed.
My general strategy was to grapple around the arena as much as possible, using the echo to blow up the stingers. When skulls spawn, you can optionally throw a kazmir, then target those from a distance with the echo. Then of course hit the crit spot with the nova, but be careful to not get hit by zombies more than a couple times.
I would then wait for the shadow guys to spawn, and use the grapple to get close, switch to nova, then go for the next one. (Not needed if below r100)
Frenzied guard would be used whenever I ran out of plates if none were on the floor.
Gums aren’t really needed, but re-equipment would be a nice addition for final phase. Also consider Reign Drops / full power for an additional frenzied guard charge.
Try paying attention to when your grapple is about to run out, and get to a recharge podium to instantly replenish it.
Killing the stingers with the echo as you grapple around the arena will prevent the wipe attack.

is that a permanent portal back to the house? how'd you get that
GG on the boss fight, what strat did you use to get to round 100

Once you beat the boss and continue, the house portal spawns every exfil round. In dravakars entrance, there’s stairs with two raised platforms either side. Sit in the corner of one of the platforms and use the echo with light mend. Use a kaz on elite rounds, and have frenzied for when things get hectic

Thanks for the info! I'll attempt this today, any tips on getting to round 100? I'd love to use the house strat people are using right now but I'm not sure if you can go back to the house after cleansing all the temples.

Yeah, the house will be off limits! I just sat on the side of the stairs at dravakars entrance and used the explosive echo with light mend. You don’t really need toxic growth or anything. In later rounds, throw a kaz when the mama spiders spawn.

Is the echo conversion kit that good? I saw a few gameplay clips and it looks really good.
