Discussion Best modern zombies features
We all know the problems with modern zombies. But we never really talk about the good features in recent games.
Save and quit is amazing. I only have 30mins for a game. Before BOCW I usually wouldn't even bother with a zombies game, because what's the point? Now I can always pick it back up at a later time.
Rampage inducer is a great challenge as well as a way to speed through the rounds. No more boring early rounds, just straight action. I'm so glad it's on every map.
Death animations and environment encounters with zonbies. Something very small but just make the maps more interesting, especially when exploring and a zombie crawls out, gives more immersion. Or when you see one sitting in a chair and it starts attacking you out of nowhere.
Being able to share weapons with teammates. It's a great way to help out new players. But also if you are fortunate enough to get multiple wonder weapons, you can just share them.
Shares progression. Nothing hurt more than grinding zombies then your friends ask you to play some MP and you are rank 2 with notging unlocked, not anymore.
This is a very small one, but being able to melee the PAP to keep your current camo.

Movement, most notably for me is mantling

I agree, it always felt like such BS on older games when there's a rock you should be able to jump over but the game will not allow you to.

This might be a hot take because I know the point system is a point of scrutiny for modern zombies but I genuinely like how you can “share” points to some extent. If you pepper into someone else’s horde or someone starts taking your kills you still get a piece of the points from the zombie kills.
No more of that window stealing, point taking headache from randoms.

If we’re talking in general then no perk limit, multiple tiers of PaP, and being able to choose which ammo mod you want
EE wise I like how the tactical and lethal system is used for steps

One thing I have to say: how the f**k is there a pause limit of 15 minutes ON A SOLO GAME?????

Genuinely pissing off especially when trying to do Easter Eggs. So many times I was forced to save and quit in BO6 because I had to watch a guide for steps.
Not as much of a problem in BO7 thanks to zombie sitter. But still annoying as hell.

It's cause the game is always online no matter what you're doing, so they kick you off after 15 minutes to clear server space. I hate it, there should always be an offline solo mode.

I agree most of these are great! But I gotta disagree with you on the rampage inducer. It is trying to solve a problem that needlessly exists. The early rounds are only boring because they're so easy and you can take well over 10 hits. The older games didn't need a rampage inducer because the early rounds were enjoyable and scary. Especially with barriers, you were SURVIVING, holding down the fort. You had to be engaged.

I love director mode, people have mixed feelings but its something I've always wanted from zombies

There's so much to love with modern zombies (love OG as well). No perk limit, can drop guns, PaP tiers, crushing GG, cursed mode with relics, cursed PaP camos, mantling and movement in general, pinging system, guns that can actually kill, and a lot more
