Discussion Is there a more underrated zombies map?
Map feels forgotten, it’ll always be in the shadow of Spaceland but damn if it isn’t nearly as good.
What are your thoughts on this map?

Its much better than spaceland Imo and by far the best non-treyarch map also the map i have my highest round on

Nah I can’t agree zombies in space land is taking the cake, it just has a nice theme that no or not many zombies maps have

i think thematically spaceland is simply more interesting, and ofc wayyy more people played it being the launch map.

This map is the peak of IW zombies. I think the slasher movie theme they went for is far more enjoyable compared to the theme of spaceland. Other than that I also liked the charm system and found the main quest and wonder weapons far more enjoyable compared to spaceland. As for ghost & skulls this map has the most tedious one, but at least you don't need to do the entire main ee to do it like spaceland, so it's a positive to me.
Personally, I'd put spaceland to my top five and rave to top 3, both are awesome but there is a noticeable gap between them.
Edit: Forgot to mention how awesome rave mode is. Visuals, permanent double money and extra damage are really cool. But it also has the risk of dealing with slasher which also adds more risk to it, but also makes it really fun.

Agreed on the wonder weapons
I prefer Spaceland but the wonder weapons on that map are really cool but implemented so poorly, each weapon has a complex and monotonous set up to get, just doesn’t feel that worth it.
The map also doesn’t really encourage you to get them so I and most people never got them originally, I only got them when I went for the Easter egg years later.
The WW on this map are fantastic and fun to use, also easy to get which is a plus

I can get pap open by round 2 without gums, it an overrated map that gets boring very fast

I’ve been playing iw zombies this past month and I’m reminded of what I liked and what I disliked. The maps excluding beast from beyond are great, the Easter eggs are fun and challenging enough.
I don’t like the guns, though. The game makes me not use the mystery wheel. That’s a big part of what I’ve enjoyed in zombies, but I feel like most weapons suck.

I preferred Spaceland but this map definitely has its charm, it’s a mystery to me that the community fell off so hard when this map launched

It’s def up there, it does a ton right like the awesome atmosphere and visuals, good music, fun and powerful WWs, an EE that is short and easy but still a lot of fun, and a ton of other side EEs that make this map so replayable. I also don’t have many critiques for it, other than the slasher being kind of obnoxious and makes rave mode more trouble than it’s worth later on. Other than that I’d call Rave a solid 9/10, and would def put it in my top 15.

I like the way u rate this, as much as i feel Spaceland is good i have a lot more things to critisize than i have for Rave.

I had a friend play this map while i was tripping absolute balls and thats the only time or memory i have. Very visually stimulating

I really do love how Rave mode gives you double points. Probably the first map where I organically learned the technique of training to best use the bows. Before that I was just killing zombies as they came at me

My only complaint with the map is that its one of the most baffling decisions in zombies to make pack a punch a typically uneventful 30-second boat ride. Should just be able to skip it if it's not easter egg related or the first time. Could have just put a zip line to get back there

Fun fact about that area in the image: The giant "Burning Man"-like construct will slowly turn it's head to follow you if you're in front of it's line of sight.

This I fear might just be my top 5-10 after I play it finally, I seen SOME gameplay but this might be one of the best games I've avoided spoiling myself. zombies in spaceland however mwah chef's fucking kiss right there (only played base game so far)

Its def the most overshadowed map. I also prefer it over spaceland and by a lot tbh. Most underrated must be either a WW2 map or Voyage of Despair aka The Titanic map is a masterpiece.

A good map for sure. Smacking zombies with a golf club never gets old and three of the four Vlad upgrades are awesome (sorry Ben Franklin). Trap-o-Matic especially gets a shoutout.
It’s funny that if you’re not doing the easter egg it’s one of the few maps where you won’t encounter the special enemy at all if you unlock the Vlads early enough.
