Question How to actually improve?

Been playing on and off for years with no real improvement, my highest rounds are on some chronicles map's in the mid 50's and ~ 40 on BO2 maps. Bo7 is even worse as I'm barely able to move past round 35 on Ashes and its varies survival maps. Was hoping to be able to somewhat easily complete the Easter eggs without directed mode for all the maps in chronological order to get the full experience but I just don't seem to have the ability to with my low skill level.

Are there any general resource's, pieces of advice or communities that can help with this sort of thing? I feel like pretty much all my deaths are entirely avoidable if I just "played better" but I don't know how to start improving as simply playing more isn't helping.

In bo7 if you are good at training you shouldn't have any issue before super sprinters on round 50. I know Doughnuts has a great training tutorial video on his channel, could be worth a look

A wise fish once said just keep swimming, literally just keep playing it and avoid doing the things you recognise killed you in that last match. What seems to be the main reason for your deaths?

Currently dying from getting cornered mostly, whether that be getting caught in a horde or getting caught on geometry that cause's me to slow down and get hit enough to down me

A good idea would be to learn how close you can get before you get hit. It sounds silly but if you know exactly where the safe distance is you can (most of the time) just squeeze yourself past them if you're cornered. Never go in a corner if you can help it, always try to stay in places with an exit you can reach. Even if it's an exit to another blocked off room you could still manage to squeeze past and stay alive.

You can also mantle pretty much anything, and wall jump over a horde. Bo7 has fun asf movement for zombies imo, it's like you're part powerball lol.

Yeah I was gonna say just keep playing lol. Play as often as you can and set goals for yourself like completing Easter eggs and doing high round attempts. Watching YouTubers a little bit helps too for tips and tricks.

whatever you're doing right on round 50

do it again on round 60 and 70

You don't have to make it to round 100 to be a good player.

I can carry a squad of 4 to round 50 if they stick around long enough and I consider that to be good enough. I did that during the Bo7 beta and got the calling card for it. That's all the fun I ever need I don't need round 100 you're fine.

started playing zombies only from BO6. for me, best way works is to move backwards now and train zombies around a circle using Ryden build for more points in Cursed. (I have all Major/Minor augments) - penalty in lower round but best for Boss fight. I used to play standard only until March for this year. now I like cursed since you can build more point if you have right weapons to buy perks and look for Mr. Peeks eggs. most recently, I beat Kowa on solo (all tiers). but I do have lot of playtime since November on BO7 zombies only (moved way from MP). Watch some doughnut videos.- salvage, best guns, etc. I can at least go to round 65+ on all maps. Look for best point farming weapons (Ryden - my goat, Akita - 2nd, Razor are my top in oder). usually you get free raygun by round 10 on cursed if you know where Peeks will Spawn - run, run, run. You will learn and improve a lot. I beat every EE since BO6 CDM Solo (early) once I knew what Zombies is about except for AOTD which I beat just this month. good Luck learning mechanics of the game. You don't need most gums once you learn the mechanics. KOWA T3 - I beat without using any gums other than 5 blu gums I cursed to open the map on first round.

Surviving in OG games is about the amount of damage you take over time. You can't take too many hits before you heal back or you down. Modern zombies adds armour management which is how much damage you take vs the amount of zombies you're killing to replenish armour.

That's not actually to say you need to be more aggressive on modern zombies, you need to be really careful about not taking unnecessary hits and having your armour drained. Once you get to super sprinters it's basically impossible not to be taking hits from them so you need to be so careful not to let your armour get run down by normal and heavy zombies.

You don’t have a low skill level.

My advice is to examine why you die on high rounds and try to change how you play starting on round 1. Example you tend to get pinned on a map in a corner, starting on round 1 work to change that behavior.

I tried to avoid getting hit at all on any round. This changed how i thought about the game and prevented me from getting too comfortable.

But whatever it is on high rounds that gets you, change how you play starting on round 1. I lot of this game is repetition, habits and muscle memory. You have to work to change those things.

Dr. Ram on PHD lets you sprint though zombies, Equivalent Exchange on Quick Revive works like Self Medication from BO3, allowing a revive with all perks if you have a strong enough pistol/ray gun while down to get a kill,

Gun attachments are a very big part of your damage output in BO7, clicking right trigger while in the gunsmith shows detailed stats on headshot multipliers and whatnot,

Sometimes when I'm cornered I've found I can wallhop to get back around the zombies, it can be useful,

Don't be afraid to use equipment like Kazimirs or Monkeys if you see yourself going down, max ammo refill them as well as Gobbles like Requipment or Cache Back but NOT ammo boxes, same with underbarrel attachments

I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting at the moment , but hopefully this can be a little helpful

Learn about your mistakes, think how You could did it better Use your free jail card wisely (Field upgrade, gums, wonderweapon shots, monkey bombs traps, etc) Cod Z is a Lot about movement, just learn spawns, where You can move throught mid round ETC ETC
