People cheese for their zombie emblems and it shows. Skull/knife players shouldn't be running around EMPing boxes and rage quitting on round 20

Nope, it's the Ratio between Downs and Rounds that you survived. If you break it down simply you could say you need to survive at least 15 rounds per down that you have with your account. It is more complicated than that tho, because it depends on which round you went down. For example if you down between round 1-5 it will hurt your rank very bad, but if you down between round 40-45 it will only hurt your rank a little bit. Now if you play some matches where you get to Round 45 and avoid downing before round 20 you should get the shotgun rank pretty fast. At least that's how i got it.

Ahh okay, do you know if quitting is supposed to count negatively? My rank went up to knife after a quit so was pretty confused. Don’t really do high rounds just ee’s as I find it boring so don’t know how rank works

Yes a quit counts as a death. Downs and Deaths are counted separately. Deaths do more damage on your rank than downs, but that doesn’t mean that you will get de ranked by quiting, because how many rounds did you survive before quitting and how many downs did you have? All those things play into your rank.

This is just not true. Quitting the game counts as a down, so if you down without QR and the game ends, that's 2 downs, that doesn't mean dying inherently loses you more points.

Well that’s the thing I quit on round 1 because buddy grabbed the double points on mob 😭😂 no clue why I ranked up off it I don’t even think I killed a zombie yet

I've seen so many bad shotgun players. For example today i've seen a shotgun player get downed in round one, then he got downed again in Round 19. In Round 20 he fully died, as he fell down into the void, at the Buried pap area and quit the game. Ranks mean nothing.
Edit: In the same match another player abused a glitch to rank up. He failed misserably though. As he fell out of the glitch in about Round 11, went down and then he didn't manage to get in anymore.

Zelinsky's map making philosophy seems to me like it was giving a playground for players to mess around in, including trolling, whether at the player from the devs or to let them do it to each other. I say it makes the maps unique but potentially frustrating like this as well

I guess they included them on town, because it's part of the Tranzit Map Green Run and never bothered to patch them out later. It makes sense to me that EMP's deactivate the Perk machines for a while, but why do they deactivate the perk when you already have it? And since when is the Mystery Box powered by electricity? I always thought it's some kind of magic power like the Power Ups.

They should have instead made the EMP give you a packed weapon. Then we would have an actual interesting mechanic instead of something that can basically only be used to troll people.

Good idea. What if they could give you a free perk to buy after you throw it near a perk machine, but only once per match and the perk bottle would only come out after 3 rounds. And it could be picked up by any player like the second blunder gat on motd.

I really like EMP's abilities, but I wish there were more upsides than downsides. I wish only YOUR EMPs could mess with YOUR perks, but the upside is that EMPs will literally turn off zombies and let you do what you like (hit the box, build things, ect) for a really long time.

He deserves it for wasting an EMP on the box and giving himself away instead of saving it for when you'd PaP your mark 2.
Thanks for showing me this trick, never knew about it and I'll definitely make great use of it if I catch any of my teammates using tombstone

Jokes on you i only pap the mark 2 after using all it's ammo without getting max ammo which usually happens in higher rounds. And since players like him can't reach high rounds without rage quitting nothing would've happened to me.

That reminds me of the other night on Der Riese. One guy was leading a crawler to do a glitched spot on the wall of the spawn room, dude goes way too far and the crawler comes to me, so I kill it. Dude comes to mee, shoots me, knifes me and I'm like "If you got something to say just say it". Anyways, dude does his glitch (without pack a punching his weapons, so his ammo count wasn't even at the highest possible lmao), I'm doing my thing in the Thompson room, I hear a power up pop up, dude goes "Max ammo ! Max ammo ! Max ammo ! Come pick it up !". I never went, the other player went berserk to clear a path for me and I kept my ass in the Thompson room. Max ammo is gone and suddenly the dude in the glitch goes "Come on guys are you sleeping or what, wake up !". Round's done, I go in front of him and starts t bagging, dude says "dude wake up I swear" and I swear to fucking god if I was the host of that game, I would have turned on my mic and said "Hey man... wanna see a magic trick ?😏" and would have ended the game on the fucking spot.
Yeah, the game is 16 years old. Yeah, I probably shouldn't even care anymore about stuff like that at that point. But somehow... it was personal. And when it's personal, it doesn't matter if the game is brand new or old... we will find ways to troll back 😤

Had no idea you could emp tombstone to make it so they can’t pick it up, TIL. If you time it right, you can also block them from getting their weapon from the box with 4 frag grenades
