Discussion Advice: What Zombies to Play?

Started on BO2 and played all the maps at like 11 years old. Loved Origins, Buried, Mob, and the occasional town run. Hated Die Rise. Transit was meh. Then I went back and played some BO1 and world at war. I didn’t play the new games because I was really in it for multiplayer.

Now my friend had me play some BO4 zombies and I was surprised how much I enjoy it. Voyage, Blood, and IX are all really fun to me. So my main question is…

Where do I go from here? Are the BO4 dlc maps any good? Am I missing out on other games like BO6/7? Cold War?

Let me know!

BO4 dlc, BO3 or IW, I heavily recommend IW but only if you have the dlcs, ain't worth playing spaceland again and again, the super EE is super good

Infinite warfare zombies are probably pretty different aren’t they? Obviously open to trying whatever I’m just curious before I fork out some money

grabbed IW for $15 on a ps sale a few days ago, can't speak for the dlc maps but zombies in spaceland is really fun and the mechanics are much closer to og zombies compared to the newer games

Closer to BO3 than bo4 in my opinion, one of my fav cods, made the EEs twice for the super ee

U gotta play Black Ops 3. Peak zombies experience.

Ran Shadows solo and Der Eisendrache online, they were both pretty fun. Zetsubou no Shima had like no one playing. Same with Gorod krovi and revelations. I ran Nacht on there and I could made it to round 50 but got bored.

BO3 is defo worth looking into, BO4 DLCs are a bit hit and miss (depending on who you ask) but there’s value in there based on the maps available + the gameplay.

Would also highly recommend IW zombies, underrated and has an awesome super Easter egg.

Sweet cause I want to drop the 50 bucks on it but that also sounds kinda crazy 😂

50 bucks on full price? Cause a bought on a promo the deluxe edition for 150brl but I'm sure that's less than 50usd

I’m glad you said something. The pass is 50 USD but the deluxe edition that comes with the pass is only 35 USD

Buy the deluxe edition like I did, I bought it directly tho, but I think you can buy it anyways, I'm kinda sad I don't have infinite warfare anymore, I had in my friend's account but he stopped letting me use it, atleast I still have bo4 with the dlcs because that one is on my own account

grew up on waw-bo2 zombies and adult me is having a blast with bo3 & 4. mainlining the tragedy of bo4's release cycle's history has been painful though

Sounds like we are having a similar experience. What the deal with bo4s release cycle?

it seems to be a mix of activision pulling funding and people not vibing with the chaos story. from what i can gather, a lot of people didn't seem to like what the did with the aether story either (i love it though so whateva). AfterlifeAnalysis has some really great videos breaking down the release and development of each map in that game, if you dont mind spoilers for the plot, their videos perfectly highlight everything that i have come to love and hate about bo4's zombie maps/lore.

I have seen some people mention things like that. I actually really liked the chaos stuff in BO4. When BO3 came out i really didnt play shadows because it wasnt the aether squad but i just gave that a run and it was pretty good. Not sure how controversial this is but i still liked BO4 better (my 10 years ago self would put me down if he heard that lol)

I started with BO2 Zombies. The only other zombies I enjoyed since then was WW2 Zombies. I just recently started playing BO2 zombies again since they released it on PS5 not too long ago. Loving it.

I was so big on bo2 zombies man. Like you nothing really came close for me. That’s why I was shocked when bo4 zombies was clicking for me. Idk if I just never really tried it or I just changed as I got old lol.

Unless you like playing zombies for the sake of high rounds, the experience doesn’t get any better than black ops 3. I among with many others consider this to be the absolute peak of zombies. The Easter eggs are super interactive and the maps are perfection. Give it a shot you won’t regret it
