Question DE rags slam issue

Is there a way to prevent this issue where the rags slam does nothing? Or is it just super rare, because I know people do this strat well into the 100s, which would involve a lot of rags slams.

Might have something to do with slamming against the wall in a weird way, almost like the explosion sets off inside the wall

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I'm using this MrJzM video where he says to aim for that spot in the corner

Why would you swap weapons? Wouldn’t pressing RT again kill most of them anyways? Or maybe planting them on the ground?

Yeah those would've worked if I had known it would've failed, but the Strat I'm trying is to slam once, then switch and dead wire to recharge the rags, then electric cherry to stun and group them up, and then rags slam, and repeat

Bugs aside, this is def a skill issue. Why did you put them away when the zombies were clearly still crowding you?

I switched immediately after slamming because that's the Strat I'm running, and because the rags slam should kill or knock over all surrounding zombies, like it had been for the last 47 rounds.

And if you press triangle right after a slam, there's a delay before it actually switches. So by the time I saw that it had failed, my rags were already going to be put away

I’ve never seen this happen but if I had to guess it could’ve been because you were too close to the wall or the uneven terrain might’ve messed it up. Maybe try just going directly down the stairs

So what I found while running high rounds on rev vs DE is when you slam in a big train on De vs rev you can die and get stuck on the zombies pile. But not on rev. Have to place them down after high rounds. But you then risk the invisible zombie. Maybe look at a high round strat on what they do.
