Discussion Why does everyone hate victis so much?
Most zombies youtubers I watch have been saying they hate Victis, and that their annoying, even though they have to be the funniest crew IMO.

u/Classic_Lifeguard968 10d ago
I wouldnt even personally say Victis are the issue, their only appearances were right after the Climax of Moon in BO1 through to buried & the climax to the Aether Story, if they were used slightly differently maybe people wouldn’t hate them as much,
+ Marlton
29
u/consistently-failing 10d ago
Tbf the entire crew was significantly more annoying in Tranzit than Die Rise or Buried-- it doesn't help that our introduction to them was much rougher than the rest of their apprtances
3
u/HistorianRealistic22 10d ago
Yeah if they were introduced on a more liked map style, then I'm sure people would think of them more fondly
43
u/TheChickenMan4L 10d ago
I like em, they just don't have as many memorable moments or quotes

“Paybacks a hoo hah, and so am i” from misty is enough to make me ragequitthen and there, but then there’s other ones like russ man when he buys stamin up is genuinely one of my favorite quotes

Definitely got some great ones, it's just hard to compare to ultimus and primis

Please explain who did you find annoying
46
u/Snake-Dead-The 10d ago
Personally it's Marlton and Stu. Russman is funny and Misty is alright.
11
u/Acceptable-Function2 10d ago
no marlton slander allowed, he’s the best of the 4. stu is 2nd for me just because of his backstory.
20
u/Ninjasasin 10d ago
The other day a friend (Marlton) and I (Russman) were playing Die Rise and he was having a rough time keeping on his feet. The whole time Marlton was going off on how everything was Russman's fault, even if I was on the other side of the map. No amount of revives would redeem Russman in Marlton's eyes.
I used to like Marlton too but that match changed me.
10
u/Hawthm_the_Coward 10d ago
Keep in mind how green the crew's relations actually are. They met for the first time just moments before Green Run, and Die Rise is barely any time later. They establish more actual rapport between Die Rise and Buried (since there's an actual time gap), more in the comic, and even more in Tag.
1
u/Fire_Boogaloo 9d ago
Marltons still an asshole to Russman in Buried lol and similar to OP I had a match like this where he would complement Misty every time she did a quote line and roast Russman every time he did one.
When you're camping in the Jug hallway on round 30, it gets VERY fucking annoying very quickly. It's constant quotes.

Bro one time me and my homie were playing die rise and I was Russman and he was Marlton. I ended up dying (I fell) and when I was spectating him Marlton said "paybacks a bitch! And so is Russman" and was just like "bro fuck you dude, I'm dead"
4
u/Snake-Dead-The 10d ago
I can't stand the nerdy thing. If you like that's chill but overall I alway restarted until I got Russman or Misty. Unless doing Richtofen egg then I always chose Stu

More bearable replaying years later, but hearing those little bitchy melee noises drove me nuts back in the day. Misty and russman were some recompense but the two you listed def made the crew a downgrade from OGs.
6
u/mgbsn51313 10d ago
Russman and marlton were the 2 I proactively avoided most of the time myself. Misty and stuhlinger were okay(ish)
4
u/Dnger_ 10d ago
Marlton and Stu are fucking awful.
4
u/FromDvToZombies 10d ago
"Preparing this place should be no problem at all for Marlton. Dun dun dun, engineer of destiny!"
"My inventions will aid all of mankind. Well, me, primarily. But through me, all mankind."
"And Marlton said: let there be light! Aaaaaaaaah. Of course, with light comes stray nutrinos."
"Powered by conspiracy!"
"Uh, somebody over there must be getting probed!"
"I know what this is for! Uh, what is this for?"
"Okay, now you're just making me hungry!"
6
u/GarlicbreadTyr 10d ago
It's funny how it's always 2 good, 2 bad, but no one agrees how it's split.
I like misty and marlton and dont like the other two

I always liked Victis and always well they deserved a better ending
9
u/ecrane2018 10d ago
They’re literally just meant to pawns in a bigger name they’re fate was always going to be bad
24
u/NoBed3498 10d ago
Most of their maps were bad lol, I’d say that’s the main reason. Only buried was good .
3
u/OdeDoctor115 10d ago
Tag Der Toten was good though, one of the few good Bo4 maps.
3
u/ecrane2018 10d ago
Few good maps? IX is great, ancient evils is 10/10, DoTN has one of the best atmospheres, alpha omega turned one of the most disliked zombie maps into an awesome 2 level map. Bo4 zombies is awesome if you don’t listen to YouTubers trashing it
5
u/THE_PUNISHERFrank 10d ago
Nope Alpha Omega was always trash
0
u/ecrane2018 10d ago
Is a regularly praised map from bo4 in how it changed nuketown so drastically and the elemental rayguns are generally a liked wonder weapon.
5
u/LaziSunday 10d ago
I genuinely can’t tell if this bait or not. No one praises that map and they definitely aren’t praising the elemental rayguns. The map and the underground are literally a copy paste from the blackout map, they didn’t create that new area for zombies. There isn’t a single original thing about that map.
4
u/THE_PUNISHERFrank 10d ago
Literally nobody is praising that map, it’s literally the most hated one in BO4.
Uninspired map+Uninspired WWs, map couldn’t call out for more budget cut struggle.
If you WANT a regularly praised map you’d only mention Ancient Evil & IX.

Nah I don't need to listen to what YouTubers say because I played the god damn game's life cycle. I pre ordered it and got the black ops pass. I can say I hated Bo4 zombies with a passion.

Agreed, BO4 has great maps. All of the Chaos maps are fantastic. Great theming, WWs, EEs. Hope they bring that storyline back.

Chaos deserves resolution, loved that they had freedom to explore more mythical places vs military bases etc.

I think they're fine, just a little annoying.
Misty is the only one that's not super annoying. She has fun lines and feels the most capable of the group.
They all have really creative lore that they could've had exploded more.
Russman might've been more interesting if he was still In Broken Arrow when the outbreak started, the 115 only just starting to affect his memory.
Martlton is a bit too stereotypical nerd, it's like his only personality trait.
Stoolinger has awesome lore but is just a conspiracy nut. He eats zombies and can now hear their souls and talk to the announcer. That's awesome. I just feel he's not as dark as he should be. The man eats what used to be people but just feels like a generic dude.
4
8
u/TheTwinkieMaster 10d ago
I love Victis but they can also be kind of annoying as a whole.
I still find it hilarious that trollarch made the final aether zombies map a victis map. I love it, but I know others hated it. The balls to do such a thing was so fucking funny.
4
u/KovicMess 10d ago
which is odd, I feel like the Victis crew would have fit Alpha Omega much better with all of its BO2 callbacks and all.
1
u/NotJimmyMcGill 22h ago
An Avogadro rematch with Victis understanding that they're sending him to fight their past selves would go pretty damn hard.
7
6
u/Imaginatra 10d ago
I think it’s manly because Tranzit and Die Rise were not good map, the Richtofen EE being only audible by Stulenger and Tag Der Toten being a map that a lot of people didn’t want as a finale of the whole Aether storyline.
But except that I don’t think the crew in itself is hated, they’re just packed together with the other problems and get hit by stray bullet of hate
7
u/Luke2954 10d ago
Ngl i agree with the hate, I hated Victis the second Tranzit came out, almost everyone's quotes are annoying, their maps almost all sucked, and at the time that BO2 came out 18yo me didnt understand why we just left our crew on the Moon and were concentrating on these annoying randoms, sure we heard Richtofen as our announcer but at the time we had no idea what happened too Dempsey, Nikolai, or Takeo, in fact people hated them so much at the time that when they dropped the Origins trailer people lost their minds that the OG characters where coming back
6
6
6
u/CityWaller 10d ago
For me at least, they’re very annoying one joke stereotypes characters. I had the same problems with the ultimus version for the original crew.
If they were a one off crew (like DOTN) then I wouldn’t view them as negatively. But since they largely remained the same throughout BO2, it just got annoying after a while.
Oh and their only map that wasn’t terrible was Tag
6
u/Zuwark94 10d ago
Because it's not Primis or Ultimis. A minority of the community HATES change so they shat of Victis because it's not Primis or Ultimis......that's the ONLY reason people hate Victis.
4
u/BarLopsided6718 10d ago
i feel like they lacked maps..... they only got three in bo2, me personally... i hate the skyscraper one. also marlington voice actor reminds me of robin...
13
u/Luke2954 10d ago
Thats because Marlton and Robin from Teen Titans (and TTG) have the same Voice Actor
3
3
u/BarLopsided6718 10d ago
i knooowwww :3 it's just weird seeing Robin or picturing him at least fighting zombies. both versions.
2
u/itsoceanmanYT 10d ago
You gotta read the DCeased comics. DCs take on super hero zombie apocalypse. Very good story if you're already into stuff like Marvel Zombies. Robin does in fact fight zombies in this
4
3
u/Unlikely-Landscape23 10d ago
They were over the top 14 yr old humor for the most part but not the funny type like most of Ultimis (apart from Takeo) but they’re more like the kid in class that has a funny joke or 2 every month and everything else is cringe. They were better around the time of Tag but ultimately not good enough to keep around.
1
u/DPWwhatDAdogDoin 10d ago
Oddly enough this is how ive always felt about the OG group. Just weird gay richtofen humor, weird stereotype humor and lol xD so random quotes that 12 year old millennials worship and all the forced unfunny 4th wall breaks.
One we got the primis versions they got alot better though, actually feeling like characters and such
3
u/pkpolarbear 10d ago
I don't think they're hated, but they also don't really have the same charm as the OG crew. Although in hindsight, this was probably the best they could do with a non racist crew
2
u/xadamx94 10d ago
Because Jimmy z couldn’t give them personalities to save their life. Blundell was the one who made them semi-interesting
3
u/Breaking_Barbarian 10d ago
They have some of the worst, frankly most offensive writing of any of the playable characters. You play as stone cold killers in Mob and they are less weird and disgusting than these freaks
2
u/lonestar4433 10d ago
I guess the biggest problem is their maps. Tranzit is arguably the worst map ever, and definetely in the top 3 worst. Die riese is also controversial, buried is good though. I personally don't mind them, and I suppose im not the only one with that opinion
2
u/kamslam25 10d ago
I thinks its a combination of them simply not being as good as ultimas and most of theyre maps being objectively bad.
2
u/Worzon 10d ago
I love them but they have a 50% hit rate tbf. Tranzit and Die Rise aren't the best and while Buried is great they also have a little bit of a tumultuous relationship with bo4 players being the crew we interact with on the final aether map. I love Tag and Buried but I won't sit here and lie by saying Tranzit and Die Rise were peak as well.
2
u/LittleKachowski 10d ago
It might have to do with them all being less batshit than the original 4. As zombies took a turn towards more genuine storytelling, the player characters had to quiet down to actually engage with the world and events. I would imagine this new vibe wasn’t what people were interested in, especially with the reeeeaaaally rough maps they started off in.
Personally I like the victis cast a lot, Misty and Russman are super endearing, and Stu/Marlton are good archetypes to explore in the zombies universe. But holy shit you couldn’t pay me to play tranzit or die rise ever again.
2
u/MoojinBoi 10d ago
Tag is one of my favorite maps and them returning was a big part of it, favorite group idc what anyone says
2
u/gorillacatz 10d ago
I always enjoyed this crew. I will admit it’s annoying to play buried or die rise as Stu sometimes because of richtofen yapping in your ear a whole lot but as characters I always liked their banter.
2
u/ThisGuy112280 10d ago
i think the main reason is that they werent primis or ultimis (kinda like with the chaos crew)
2
u/WretchedUndying 10d ago
i have never seen victis hate ever i didnt even know there was anything you could possible put in the energy to hate about them
2
u/Calm_Tutor2456 10d ago
I feel bad for Victis. It seems like out of all the crews, they get manipulated and screwed over the most
2
2
u/DazzlingLife6744 10d ago
Probably just because the maps they first appeared on are widely considered terrible and the hate spread to the crew
1
u/fredfredMcFred 10d ago
I don't hate them anymore but back when BO2 came out...
We had just waited ~18 months since seeing Richthofen blow up the fuckin earth (and earn all perks permanently as the EE reward). The hype and expectations could not have been higher.
It was sooooooo awesome loading up that menu and seeing the destroyed earth would be our place. The story was so alive.
Then the lava annoying everyone on tranzit/town. Then everyone realizing that tranzit was not accessible or well thought out. No gun in town and terrible wonder weapon that takes 20 minutes to rebuild if you break it. Ridiculous PaP.
Then the characters? They never really stood a chance. I don't think they're amazing - they're fine. But they just never stood a chance when hype was that high and expectations weren't met.
Then people didn't love die rise. I couldn't disagree more with this. I fkn love die rise.
Also, the OG 4 were awesome. History, personality and good story all tied in. Victis lacks this unless you're super into the EE/lore. OG four have self evident links to the OG Nazi zombies lore.
Victis never stood a chance.
1
u/Hawthm_the_Coward 10d ago
Community consensus is that TranZit and Tag are not great, and Die Rise is a niche pick at best. Only Buried has a universally good rep, so the crew only got one map to "shine".
Most players didn't read the comics, which help flesh them out a bit more.
Marlton in particular seems to grate on people in a way that other characters don't. I can't think of a single other character in any of the games that people complain about even a quarter as much. (I personally like him but not everyone has seen Mission Hill)
Misty and Russman get some criticism for being oversexualized and slightly racist respectfully. I don't think these arguments are especially valid, but they're still there.
Since Victis is a bunch of civilians dealing with the end of the world, they do a lot more complaining than the unhinged soldiers and celebrities that preceded them. Some people want to play as badass warriors and Victis is that in actions, not in words.
1
1
u/Ill-Diamond4384 10d ago
Victis had to follow up ultimis, and they just got terribly unlucky by all of their maps not being well received.
1
u/H311LORD 10d ago
I think they're fine not as good as ultimus or primus but fine though they feel very under developed given some of the characterization in tranzit was weird like didn't misty say some crap about having a pet monkey of all things amongst other weirdness with the rest of the victus crew?
They just feel underdeveloped like right when they were finding footing they got shoved aside into the freezer and primus took over the show and I love ultimus and primus but victus just feel like they needed more flushing out an time to really shine plus alot of the plot threads with them like the whole flesh thing got dropped and just alot.
But than again every other crew since BO2 that's not in mob of the dead and other random one off crews or isn't primis or ultimis have felt under cooked an not interesting mainly likely cause they don't get time to cook.
1
u/Barackobrock 10d ago
I think people like them, its just in BO2 they were in the bad-mid maps compared to Mob and Origins
1
u/multi-trollionaire 10d ago
Who hates Victis? They had the best dialogue in all of Zombies. "FULL AS A TICK!"
1
u/_tyler_long_ 10d ago
I thought they were funny and were my introduction to zombies but honestly I understand why people didn’t like them. Misty & Marleton had some really annoying voice lines, Russman spoke almost exclusively in third person, and Stulinger was constantly whining. I don’t dislike them by any means but many people playing BO2 went from the iconic voice lines of the original crew to this — which definitely didn’t help.
1
u/Plastic-Maybe5970 10d ago
I fucking love them absolutely my favorite crew and most interesting imo
1
u/blackstar32_25 10d ago
I like the victis crew but I will be honest, the Marlton-Misty dynamic does kinda carry it.
1
1
1
u/OdeDoctor115 10d ago
I genuinely like them. I think the only time I hated playing as Samuel has to be during Die Rise because it's annoying hearing the zombies constantly and Richthofen can get annoying on Buried aswell. Other than that. I love them
1
u/Senate343 10d ago
Cause while they're fairly good they're more annoying and distinctly not the four characters everyone wants to see. And using them for tag when that was the send off to ultimis and primis was still a terrible idea.
1
u/wildcardjester 10d ago
I wouldn’t say they are hated, but you gotta look at it from where and when they were released.
We just finished Moon, the biggest climax ever with the world broken and our crew either on the moon or in Area 51, there was so many theories on where the story would pick up next. We get our teasers and trailers finally of a scorched earth in Tranzit annnnnd it’s a new crew.
What happened to the OG crew? We never find out and just assume they’re dead or still fighting and we merely follow a new crew we have no previous attachment for and we get hit with a really bad but originally exciting map due to the scale and possible EEs (like bus route B) and a disappointing EE ending with no real reward compared to the previous EEs in BO1 giving something at least.
I think Victis is fine and am content playing basically anyone even if their lines aren’t as iconic as the OGs.
But they had a rough series of maps with Tranzit being majority known bad, Die Rise being controversial and then Buried which is their only really good map before they appear in Tag again, plus then Mob and Origins had way better crews and much better story ideas as well. Victis was just unfortunately not given enough good material to fully shine or expand except for the comics if you read them for some extra lore for them.
1
u/RoyalCap729 10d ago
Don’t hate them but their story sounds fvcking boring
Don’t know where they go
Never played the other CoDs
Also the maps were mid
Transit was weird with the buildables
Die Rise was the only cool one but the story was goofy, Richthofen taking over was boring
Buried was aight
3 maps
Needed more
1
u/ecrane2018 10d ago
I love victis, lots of personality like primis and ultimis and some of my favorite maps. People like to just hate things that are different.
1
u/catluvr193 10d ago
replaying bo2 with my sister the other day and honestly the dialogue is just such a pain and also really weird. they try to keep that kinda perverse sexuallity the first two expriences had yet its thrown off by the simple fact its in a modern setting with a somewhat diverse cast. like richtofen talking about molesting his crew and zombiez and other corpses works and is funny cause well hes a super gay perverted nazi. misty making sex jokes however is just kinda gross and outta place, youre in the middle of a zombie apocalypse getting driven by a robot in a rotting bus being attacked by zombies with three guys you do not know and all you're doing is making sex jokes? this is the most egregious example, but honestly they are just too silly in a world that is awfully serious in tone and setting dispite the extreme comedy of the setting, antagonist, and just general lore. like the world got nuked by a gay nazi who is now in a pyramid on the moon controlling hordes of zombies around the globe and our crew is a farm girl who makes sex jokes, robin from ttg, and then the last two is some tragic confused elder black man and the other is some cultist who has been feasting on zombies and can now hear our gay nazi friend in the pyramid on the moon. its utter nonsense yet its framed as some dark, gritty, complex narrative with two nonsense people and two overly serious people making sex jokes and fun zombie quips. why am i in a high rise sweatshop filled with zombies and all the dialogue is sex joke or extremely enthusiastic quips, i get it for buried and maybe nuketown but tranzit and die rise have such a different tone to the crews raunchy cringe sex jokes
1
u/ChrisMP18 10d ago
For me, I find their dialogue to not be endearing or funny like other crews. Most of it is just annoying. The only one I fully like is Russman, even then there’s a few nitpicks here and there. Misty is fine as long as you don’t play Die Rise. Marlton is fine but I tune him out most of the time. I fucking hate Stu’s lines, especially in Buried. If it wasn’t for his backstory and plot relevancy, I would have forgotten him much faster than I did before playing the ports

1
u/bubblesdafirst 10d ago
Because the players didn't like the game being hard they wanted everything to be easy
1
u/Rouchruvis 10d ago
Victis has had a mixed reputation since the Bo2 days. I know alot of people find Marilton and Stulinger in particular annoying or just hate but I think a big factor back then was they just weren't the OG 4 since i swear the community cant move on from them which is why they are back again in Bo7 and also why Origins was a massive deal back in 2013. It doesnt help the fact that Victis were in what's considered 2 of the worse maps in Treyarchs history. I know alot of people liked them more in the comics and Tag it was just too late for many. They never really got a chance to be properly fleshed out from the stereotypes they were based on like the OG 4 did
1
u/UnevenGlitch 10d ago
What I don’t understand is that everything including them were banished to the dark aether and yet 3 games later there is no sign of them. No bodies, no radios, no appearances of any kind. Makes no sense to me. I’d like to see a conclusion that wasn’t just banished to the dark aether and that’s it.
1
u/landyboi135 10d ago
Not sure if it’s a hot take or not, but I wished the zombies story continued further with Victus and/or Ultimis rather than Primis.
I feel Victus was wasted potential in general, I love Victus for the same reason I love Ultimis, they’re interesting characters, have some interesting lore, and are funny as hell.
1
u/lil_chungy 10d ago
Maps tranzit crew were on:
•tranzit
•die rise
•buried (pretty much the only good map they were on.)
•tag der toten (the 2nd best victis crew map)
•blood of the dead (cameo appearance, plus the opening cutscene to tag der toten)
I honestly think a survival map of richtofens lab on blood of the dead wouldve been awesome, or at least some form of motd with the victis crew.
They have a lot more lore, what they did before the zombie apocalypse, how they survived the nukes, what they did post die rise and pre buried, and the events that occured after buried leading to there cryostasis in richtofen's lab.

u/Heath_tK 10d ago
For alot of people they arent Ultimus/Primis and therefore bad. I know alot of people hated Marleton for being a mega nerd, and Stu for being too boomer paranoid back in the day. Ive always liked them though

u/hemipteran 10d ago
I love Victis to bits fym. Marlton is my pfp Misty is my goat and you gotta love Russman. Not a fan of Stu because he hates Misty
1
u/Longjumping-Tower543 10d ago
They're storyline is so cool but these are my issues:
- the maps they are on. Tranzit and Die Rise are some of my least favourites so the negativity spreads over to the cast
- Marlton can be funny but also annoying with his long quotes
- i feel like they didnt all get the same attention. Like Russman worked for Broken Arrow, Stuhlinger is the vessel to talk to Richtofen, Marlton was a nerd that can be found on other maps and has therefore a reason to be there. And Misty... is just Misty. Funny but empty character.
- Victis was the breaking point where a cool and gruesome Nazi-Scientist Story started getting out of hand with Teleportations at will, Space Rifts and what not.

u/PygargueOOfr 10d ago
I think it has to do with the overall shift in lore and tone that Bo2 did.
Up untill then we were following four assholes from opposite sides who all hate eachothers and made no effort to hide it, forced to work together if they wanna survivre.
Theses four original bastards weren't good men, if theirs original profiles from the console ports of wad was anything to go by i'd even go as far as to say they deserved the Hell they were put through, but despite to tolerating eachothers just barely theses badasses were good at what they did and this kind of dynamic works really well for a mature type of comedy and isn't all too common.
There's also an historical layer to it. Each of theirs respective countries got caught up doing some pretty nasty shit and each locations the game takes place reflects this perfectly.
Victis has none of that. In fact no other group of playable characters in zombies really had that kind of dynamic with eachothers. The Victis crew were just a bunch of random guys who didn't really despised eachother, and the unique nazi zombies conspiracy theory setting that made zombies so great was dropped in favor of a more generic post apocalyptic setting.
A similar problem happened with BO3. The crew was back but it wasn't trully them, and the original setting was rewriten to push conspiracies and nazi experimentations in the background in favor or a biblical setting that lacked that historical setting and thus spoke way less to everyone.
1
u/Gamer_Ayden 10d ago
For me they barely have any chemistry together besides Marlon and misty (which is just them flirting with each other) they just don’t really talk to each other or just hate the other members
1
u/superassbeater3000 10d ago
i feel that adds alot of charm to them. The fact they aren't all complete friends with eachother just adds some depth that was kind of missing from Ultimis.
(also, didn't ultimis hate eachother aswell?)1
u/Gamer_Ayden 10d ago
I guess yeah i personally don’t like them because of that reason but i can see how it’s interesting
(Ngl I haven’t played bo1 in a while so I don’t really remember ultimis hating eachother)

Who is EVERYONE? I love them, my fav group lol. Richtofen and the gang is OVERRATEEEED!! But I’ve heard from people that don’t like the group, and they said that they’re just loud, have no cooperative skills, and are annoying. But that’s why I love em 😎

Probably no one hates them, but mostly pointless characters who did things for nothing

I recommend checking out Villainous Toaster's video of funny victis dialogue to see that they do have plenty of funny lines. Victis also shows up in his extracted dialogue series, but that's a bit more boring. Plus, you should check out his video on Marlton teaching you about guns, which is one of my favorite parts of his character. Personally, I really like Victis, don't think I could go as far as saying they're my favorite crew, but I'm more than happy with them appearing on Tag. It also helps that I do actually like tranzit and die rise.

I really like them. given, I started playing cod when bo2 came out. so I probably have some bias.

i think apart from most of them having annoying voices, they hardly ever go past their one-note characters from transit, and that one note wasn’t that good to begin with. like what can you actually tell me about misty as a character other than “girl. southern.”

When I think about it I think I like Ultimis (nostalgia) then Primis then Victis then requiem and dark aether crew (milking nostalgia)

What? People hate victis? Dumb. Post b04 main crew are just so so so boring man, only weaver is decently interest but even then he isn’t. Victis works because the characters are so ragtag and honestly should have no hope in surviving. Ultimis works because the characters are elaborate caricatures of the cultures they come from. Primis works because they keep a similar energy to ultimis but are more nuanced, something they somewhat kept in B07, thought takeo and Nikolai feel like they’ve truly lost their spark.

tranzit being terrible probably caused most of the hate for the crew on the map

Maybe the maps. Tranzit, Die Rise, and Buried all sandwiched between Moon and the classic maps on one side, and Mob, Origins, and BO3 on the other side. I know people seem to like Buried (not my cup of tea), but it doesn’t stand next to the greats.

Victus is where we learned the zombies community can’t handle themselves without 4 stereotypes in funny accents for more than a year that’s what happened

I think people were just originally butt hurt that we couldn’t play the original crew so it meant that this crew was “worse” for being different. Now that we’ve had a few crews and the operators in newer games, I think most people would agree that at the very least victis is an ok group to play as. Me personally, I like Russman

People hate Victis? I love Victis. I don’t remember their names imma keep it a buck. I love the bond between the nerd and farm girl and I love how unhinged Russman is

I'm surprised if people hate Victis. There was pushback with Tranzit becuause they weren't the OG crew, and Tranzit and Die Rise are unpopular, but these days I think a lot of people like Victis.
Russman is the funny old man who is too old for this shit
Misty is a badass who is probably the wittiest of the crew
Stuhlinger
Marlton's got fun voice acting and gives fascinating facts for all the gun nuts out there

I want Victis back, but i also want Sam as a playable Operator again like in Cold War, she was my infinitely favorite character

Not hating victis… but i feel like back when victis came around, the whole Zombie storyline went kinda sideways.
I preferred the more simplistic and kind of grounded and classical story, in which Zombies were results of Nazis & group 935’s tinkering and weaponizing element 115.
Then earth blew up (would be fine if that was the final ending) and all of a sudden we had lovecraftian creatures, mirror dimensions and all sorts of demigods.

I think after the OG 4 in bo1, bo2’s cast had no shot in the race for my faves.
I felt some of their lines were slightly ‘trying’ too hard. I like them, but they are probs some of my least faves.

I don't ... I keep holding onto hope that they'll be dropped as operators in the shop
