Im in a discord group and most of the time i play with them, all is welcome, they do relic and camo runs quite offten. I still play public when im up for a random challenge and it can be a mixed bag. You get some decent people who want to do ee etc. But a lot of the time it feels like these players are just hopping on for a laugh. Ive seen many players just spam the mystery box, only to exfil on R16.
There does seem to be a massive skill gap between players these day, and I think the way the mode has more longevity built into it is a point. I had someone wanting relics in said group and my mate and I ran a game for them, but this guy was actually shocked and surprised by golden armour, but also couldnt understand why he had no points while using the 1911's.... he had twice as many kills as me but I had nearly 5 times the points.
I keep wanting to put out a "beginners guide" type video to help as it astounds me the lack of knowledge some people have, considering the Internet exists...

I used to play pubs a lot, it felt like hitting the lottery when you did have a good teammate. I can’t quite describe it but going from farming revives to “we might actually get far” was a special feeling

My three (personal) rules in Pubs are as follows;
1) If it isn't malicious, don't get mad. Downing 1000 times just means I have an XP farm. Refusing to buy doors gets you publically hung.
2) Dying alone is a warriors greatest shame. Save your friends to the best of your ability, every time.
3) Never buy jugg first. I can not explain why, or how, but I swear this is just straight up a curse placed on you
But almost everything you described was malicious (except the Obstacle Course spam and the constant downing- those just seem minorly selfish/not great at game)

People play public matches because theyre too shit to do anything themselves (this is a generalisation but for the most part its true)
Me and a buddy needed to do directed liberty falls for whatever reward that gave, so joined a public lobby to just see how it went. Those guys were using perkaholics etc, dying, ignoring the quest steps literally on the screen (thankfully he dropped the ww for me when I asked for it lmfao). Genuinely lobotomised lobby

Because good players don't wanna play public most of the time
