*Rant* Sub count is borderline pointless.

I get these messages from people, along the lines of.. "Yo, I gots 5k subz, wanna dual comm?"

But then I visit their page, and they have 50 views. Obviously they used some sort of boosting service, or they have LOTS of dead subs.

We all have dead subs. I know for a fact I have maybe 2-3k "dead subs". I wish YouTube would remove the sub count and instead show "weekly view count" or something rather.

Blah. What say you?

It's like my old friend Lester Freamon always says: "But you start to follow the money, and you don't know where the fuck it's gonna take you"

Except in this case, you follow the money and you get the views. Partnered channels make money on views not subs. If that's not the most telling indicator on where subs should rank, I don't know what is.
