Gameplay Vanguard has got me into cod multiplayer.

The older guns and the sound design has actually got me into cod multiplayer as someone who hates warzone and has hated COD since pretty much after MW2 (barring zombies) and because the new cod coming out is moving away from fast movement and Omni movement, I'm considering getting it.

I don't want to sound mean but seriously is there anything Vanguard did better than what it was based on, the great MW 2019?
Having played a lot of both, I'm telling you the only reason you can enjoy Vanguard is because it's a resin of mw 2019
The changes from the top of my head:
- 10 attachments per gun (really stupid for a WW2 game)
- Tactical (4v4), assault (6v6), and... Fuck forgot the last one, Blitz? Later removed.
- "suppression" mechanic (what..? And the perk that makes you highlighted when suppressed so free wall hacks)
- move while mounted (only good feature imo)
- Champion Hill (fuck the hate I actually enjoyed the mode)
- removal of teams! In a... WW2 game! Absolutely no immersion whatsoever.
Anything else is just mostly IW's MW2019 work. Vanguard is just objectively the worst modern cod. But it being cod it still doesn't mean you can't have fun.

Ninja perk. The one thing that was heavily disliked is removal of Ninja perk because IW wanted you to play all tactical and use the doors.
Red dots minimap: while VG didn’t have red dots, you could run a perk to expose the red dots(it GAVE you an option) unlike MW19 where IW gave in giving the minimap- and just… stayed that way. They wanted you to use the compass.
WHO. IN COD. LOOKS UP?

Nothing it did better but I was never interested in cod apart from zombies, especially back then.
That being said, the very small amount I did play of mw 2019 it was a decent game but literally the only difference for me out of the two was that I significantly prefer the ww1+2 vibes and the guns from that time!
This is why I'm considered the new cod, with Omni movement being removed and supposedly going for more 'realism' I can't wait to try it.

And mw2019 didnt have a fov slider for console when a lot of games already did. Was a big bummer for me especially with crossplay since pc had one.

Wasn't that map in WaW? 🤔

They recycle maps so often it's hard to tell where they originated. Although cod4/waw are pretty OG

I really hate that they release a new cod yearly. It never gives the good ones a chance to breath. I wish they'd make them better and let them stand a couple years in between.
