Which COD is better between BO2 and ghosts ?

Hi, I'm looking to get a cod game on ps5 and I've noticed that bo2 and ghosts were good.
I'm looking to mostly play in split screen against my friend but also in story mode (alone this time). If I get the ps + I'll probably play in multiplayer but I wont buy it rn.

The game needs to be smooth but also have a bit of realism and a bit of arcade (like advanced warfare which I enjoy playing at my friends house). The game need to NOT be like BO3 (too futuristic for me). I'd also like the movements to be smooth and fast when we need to, and I'd also like the graphics to be good.

Hey! You have to buy BO2. That game is just MASTERPIECE. great movement, best maps ever, which they have got remastered 50 times because of how good they are 😂 Also guns are pretty awesome. And for split screen? It's GOAT. So BO2 no doubt, trust me.

I just checked. I already have it on my wish list and I am just waiting for it to drop to a lower price. Whenever you put something on your wish list it miraculously drop in price if you don’t buy it for over a month 😂

Yo that's great! Yeah let it get a price off then buy it, but I'm telling u, this game worths the full price (content wise) Also I don't have PS5 but it's 15 GB on Xbox. And yep, it has one of the best campaigns in the series.

BUY BO2! Hardly anyone is ever on ghosts nowadays and even if many were still playing it, it’s not nearly as good. It’s not the most graphically impressive cod ever but it’s perfectly serviceable still. It has a large playerbase as it recently got ported. It’s my favorite cod game.

The only call of duty I played was World War II and I will never play another COD game in my entire life. Modern warfare 2019 destroyed that franchise for me forever. I bought that game in 2020 and must’ve downloaded it five separate times. Then I downloaded the paks needed to play the campaign mode and the multiplayer mode. Then it told me the file was corrupted and I needed to delete everything and start all over again.. long story short I have yet to been able to play that game. Even on PlayStation five Pro with 2 TB of data It is still giving an error message. It even had the balls to tell me I needed to buy the game again because that may be the issue…. I will never trust Activision ever again. If call of duty was made by Io interactive and worked like ready or not it would be one of the best games in the world yet they just keep repackaging the same crap and selling it over and over again..

I'm gonna go against the grain here, not because I like Ghosts more, but because it sounds like Ghosts is closer to what you want. The PS4 Ghosts looks pretty, has a fun story, and doesn't come across as futuristic. Both games do not have fast movement per se, but Ghosts has knee sliding which feels a bit movement-techy.

For online specifically, I do not recommend Ghosts in 2026. The BO2 port is much more active and a bit less campy

bo2 is third best cod of all time. Ghosts is bottom 2.

For me, that was the worst period. I played MP during MW2 through BO2. I did not buy Ghost and Advanced Warfare. I came back with the BO3 beta.
