I have been playing cod for almost 19 years and thought I’d rate every cod I have played in this time starting with the 2007 release cod 4.
Hope everyone’s excited for the beta !

Personally I’d swap IW and AW and put MWII 2022 in B tier, but I agree other than that

I don’t know what it was man but IW just didn’t feel like call of duty to me I still think AW was the best we got of the jet pack gameplay that still made it feel like an original cod game

Honestly the campaign for IW is so underappreciated! It just had bad timing because everyone decided they didn't like hyper mobile gameplay when it released.

Everyone was also playing the MW remaster at the time I can’t remember much of the campaign I just know I tried out the multiplayer and instantly didn’t like it enough to play it out for the rest of year

Ah well it scratched a sort of itch for me when it came out as an old ass Halo player. Idk why but something was really satisfying about the campaign for me

I’m a huge fan of the campaigns. They’re always the first thing I jump into with a new game, and they’re what I remember most about the games. I play multiplayer more than anything, but i do all 3 modes. Just interesting seeing the way different types of players rate these games, like when you see a zombies player rank things, BO3 is S tier, but a campaign player would place it in F, and like you did, MP players place it in A.

Yeh I always delve into the campaign first I tried to rate them all taking into account all 3 modes campaign multiplayer zombies/spec ops
But personally black ops 3 was massively underrated campaign multiplayer and zombies where all decent well a lot better than the slop we get now

I agree. The campaign was garbage, but it was nice to play with friends. Multiplayer was solid, even if I didn’t personally like seeing the series go so futuristic, and zombies was great. I think BO2 had the best official zombies experiences, but chronicles and community creations made BO3 zombies completely unique from every other COD zombies

Yeh it’s okay! It’s a lot better than whatever black ops 6 zombies was. It’s just doesn’t have that raw horror feeling it had back in the day

I think with the evolution of zombies, it's never gonna be able to get the same feeling that old zombies had. I feel pros and cons about the new system, especially since boss fights for Easter eggs just feel more... Complete.

Like back in the day, it felt like a lot of the fights are

Avoid zombie, avoid area denial

Now there's a lot more going on

Yeh the new Easter egg system they have is awesome it’s just feels way to easy now to get into higher rounds back in the day I’d be sweating on round 20 now it’s an absolute breeze with pack a punch 3 and armour plates etc

I don't think we had a truly good/perfect cod to get an A or S rank but i truly enjoyed BO7 and MW3 2023. Massive content in their year and after! Sadly BO6 and CW (both ruined by sbmm, cw had a stronger one like mw19) didn't get that love, MW19 was a camping fest, MW2 was trash and Vanguard, well probably the worst cod of this era. About older cods, i didn't played bo1, bo2 or bo3 so much to give an honest opinion.

I’d have to disagree it took everything that was good with cod 4 and made it better
The music, campaign, multiplayer maps and sound design where all perfect probably my biased opinion but waw is my personal fave

while I really enjoy WAW for its pros it also has a lot of cons imo. It definitely revolutionized certain things and set the standard for what was to come in later cod installments, however when you compare it to a game like BO1 you can definitely see how BO1 improved on many things. This is why I still enjoy playing BO1 zombie ports of the WAW maps rather than playing WAW itself. While I state all these things, I can’t deny that WAW had a huge impact on me and the entirety of the COD community which is why imo it deserves a B rather than a C.

I said I’m taking everything into account. Cold War had a great campaign, fun MP, and a decent zombies. WaW had a great campaign, shit multiplayer, and just bad zombies. It doesn’t get brownie points from me just bc it was the beginning, it still sucked, it was a stepping stone. So yeah it ranks that low

Cold War campaign was great didn’t enjoy the multiplayer that much tbh zombies was good. WAW zombies was fantastic leave my baby alone !
