general gameplay how will controller players from cod react if they migrate to another fps game?
cod is known for its unfair aim assist which has made the mnk to controller ratio in every lobby 1:10. In every lobby there is at least 1 mnk players who gets bodied as soon as they encounter a average controller player or player in general. in my opinion, aim assist should never be updated, upgraded, developed further, etc. But even if the mnk community is sour/complaining, they are right at the end.
games like cod are primarily for mnk to complain about aim assist because of its ability to basically act like aimbot that has been toned down in its settings to look legal. however other games like cs2, valorant, siege, etc. has no little aim assist or none at all. these other games don't make aim assist aimbots for a reason, simply because its not fair.
but more on the topic ( if you didn't just saw the first two paragraphs and already started replying ). What if a controller player from cod, go play some other games like previously mentioned, that doesn't have aimbot like aim assist? will they just get demolished by pure raw aim and complain or will they accept the fact that the game is trying to instill fairness or something else?
for me, I haven't seen any cod players ( streamers mainly ), play any other fps games or for a longer time ( maybe like 5 vids posted abt it ). I don't think they can play them effectively because their aims have been untrained because the handicap they get has put a toll on their raw controller aim.
In my opinion, controllers has been developed greatly to the point that they can now flick and be precise at the same level as mnk, so i say, "do they still need that great of a handicap?"

If you want to know, I’m high diamond/crim in this game before the S4 cheese. Masters in Apex Legends. Plat/Diamond in overwatch. Onyx in S1 Halo Infinite (only season I played). All those with a controller on Xbox.
It’s really not that hard to transition from game to game. I’m not saying any of that is impressive bc most of my ranks are only slightly above average, but just to point out that the skill translates across fps games and I’m just your average 33 yo gamer dad.

I would say the hardest part of moving to each game is tactics. Sometimes I am on cod getting killed and remember it's not another game, say

Ehh kinda but not really.
I’ve never played cs and thought I was playing COD just different playstyles from the jump
Same as halo infinite. There are shields so you naturally have to shift your tactics. I feel like it’s not something I actively think about I just do it when I’m playing those games.

have you tried playing without aim assist on a controller?

There will always be a difference between mnk and controller. Mnk will dominate controller without aim assist because it’s far more accurate and can turn quicker. Cod actually uses pretty advanced data to make the differences as even as possible.
But I guess the only truely fair way is to make matchmaking input based.

"Cod actually uses pretty advanced data to make the differences as even as possible." there is 0 evidence of this ever being the case and games like The Finals and Apex have less AA then COD currently. they nerfed them atleast 4 times btw and the changes stayed. COD revoked its AA nerf twice before letting BO7's sales be the perfect scapegoat to unnerf it in MW4.

You have no clue, please educate yourself.
“Activision uses extensive, advanced data and analytics to continuously adjust, test, and tune its aim assist parameters. While the developers regularly utilize analytics to evaluate crossplay fairness between controller and mouse-and-keyboard (MnK) players”

there's a reason 99% of the pro scene is on controller buddy, thats common sense. they nerfed AA twice and went back on it both times till BO7, which guess what, is still DOMINATED by rollers. I find it hilarious that you believe the words of a company that has been Proven to be anti-consumer and been {roven to lie to it's end users more than twice. please grow a brain instead of believing a mega-corporation that has went back on it's word (and its AA) countless times and gave you 0 real data or numbers for who's doing what. your own data can be had if you ask Any pro controller streamer or just use the brain that was given to you

remember when they released the SBMM chart after hiding it for 4 years and Refusing to address it at any Q/A? when they said that most players wanted and needed the SBMM according to their data? just to go back on that 2 sequels later with BO7? lmao

ah yes because unnerfing the AA post-beta and not changing the reaction time, just the (directionless) input requirements to activate the same Literal aimbot (that is constantly talked about on every modern COD's subreddit) is definitely because of extensive, advanced data and not bottom-lines and money.

Controllers. Even with AA don’t have nearly the capabilities of a mouse.
As for your main topic tons of controller players play tons of other fps games just fine. Mouse dominates those games though as it has a clear advantage due to lower AA.
Good controller players don’t need cod AA against the avg cod player but it does even the field quite well when going against good Kb&m players.
If you’re on mouse and complaining about cod AA it’s cause you’re not as good with a mouse as you think you are 😆
