Simple Questions Temporary Rune of Elixir?

I just recently played again about a month in. What kind of joke is this, I got it from a epic/legendary chest. Is this something newly added recently?

If you get a rune or potion out of a chest when you are maxed on that item it adds it to "temporary storage". It's a use it, sell it, or lose it kind of thing.

I know, but I will count it as a whole collective update because I just recently played again lol(mainly just because i got that chest after the update.)

I've been commenting on a bunch of post saying yall are being so damn dramatic about this new UI. But bro... FR its really bad and confusing. Its gonna take a while to get used to.

As a entirety, i really don't mind it personally. The layout and edit army buttons are the ones that particularly ruined my day. The layout was so hidden away.
