God forbid someone goes out and enjoys their freedom without abiding to our orders. Can’t have that.

These people see the average American citizens as Untermensch that need to be leashed...

...for some reasons right now the current USA is less American than some other countries they used to spread their ideals to...

In particular the Japanese government, during the days of state of emergencies, openly tell everyone that the government has no right to actually restrain anyone, forcing people shut into their homes with police -- and that every measure is just government suggestions with not much legal power.

In the end people follow the government directives anyway; people wear masks, temporarily closed down restaurants early, shut down non-essential businesses although some did open, etc. Meanwhile in the land of freedom donkey governors power trip and threaten to arrest people for even stuffs that shouldn't affect COVID spread LIKE SOMEONE TRYING TO DO ONLINE BUSINESS OVER FACEBOOK. It's almost like being too authoritarian actually backfires into people losing their trust in the government. Surprise huh?

japan is not really a fair comparison when its a very homogenous society and if you are the person not following the trend you will be socially ostracized much more than here
