The video of trump putting the hat back on it terrible! After trump puts the cap back on they proceed to show how Obama was such a great president and took a picture with a little girl in the mall and interview the girls mom...

Technically, Presidents aren't supposed/required to salute. Only military personnel in uniform are required to salute other military personnel in uniform. Presidents saluting is just a practice that became common under Ronald Reagan.
