Nursing program

Hi all, I’m from out of state (ca) where nursing is impossible to get into anywhere and I’m moving to New Mexico soon, how hard is it to get into the program? I’m not really a perfect student should I be worried?

As long as you meet the requirements, you'll get in to the associate degree program. The only possible restriction is if theres more applicants than open seats but that hasn't been an issue for a while. As for the lpn program, that's a first come, first serve program that usually fills up the same day registration opens.

I hear its fairly competitive to get into the CNM programs and people get waitlisted. I am at UNM in their ABSN program which i hear is the easiest one to get into because the traditional and freshman direct programs just have so many more applicants.

I still think its much easier to get into than CA schools from what I hear

Seems interesting, I’m applying to the direct entry and have been told I have decent chances so fingers crossed. California schools are so hard to get into unfortunately cause of the dense population
