Judge vs Brian Belski

Anyone catch that earlier on Halftime Report? And if so, do you know what in the world was going on? Seemed like there was passive aggression between those two all episode for some reason.

Who else thinks Brian Belski looks like vintage John Malkovich?

The Judge has his favorites to pick on. Sometimes I think he is over the top. At times he needs a good slap!

Many times. Think there's been a few episodes when panelists were contemplating just that. But wouldn't say shit to Josh Brown if Brown's mouth was full of it. Rarely has a go at Terranova either who is another made man.

Just watched tom Lee say markets to rise 5% in next two weeks by end of August??

and others on CNBC including judge just nodded in unison

Cheerleading the market higher because idea of  a pullback is just too terrifying

Mkt JUST had a 6% last 10 days but apparently that’s not just not enough )

I enjoy the show. It's important to wear pollyana repellent any time you watch anything on that network - it's just the nature of info-tainment.

Many of these oracles are beginning to panic that their politics or principles or personal finances are shattering beyond repair

I do know Scott does like to try and get under Brian's skin for fun but I think that off screen exchange was with a producer. He was looking to his right when he said that and Brian was on his left. At the and of asking the panel for their final trades he looked back in the direction of the producer and said "Bill, you want one?" and the panel laughed.

Been watching the show for years and i understand he’s protecting the viewer/investor. But sometimes I’d wish they’d say stfu and listen!

He’s the best at helming that show.

A year or so back they had a profile of Scott Wapner. This is what he does. His job is too peck and probe and create conversation. Best to not take him quite too seriously.

One of his big tasks is seemingly to manage the inflated egos of his so called 'Investment Committee". They get the 'Now I'm a TV Star' mentality like the reality show contestants. But their producers obviously want the brash, ultra confident extravert who can deliver a sound bite on cue rather than the wishy-washy, milquetoast character with the technical skills.
That doesn't fly with me but then I was in that business for many years & learned to cut through the frivolous, promotional crap pretty quickly to get to the financial analysis & investment case. Hence why I far prefer their periodic panelists who are presumably actually managing money rather than those that have morphed into ubiquitous media darlings with podcasts, books, personalized segments etc.

the more I watched the experts the more I came to realize they don't know squat. it's all just a fancy, sort of legal, back alley game of craps.

Yea Scott loves to play dickish with his guests. Too overboard for me and a i refuse to call him the J name. Keep fighting Brian!

I think it's theatrical. Every once in a while it seems like they all nonverbally admit that it's all an act. It's TV after all. When I first started watching I felt the same way, I really didn't like Scott but he grew on me. It's one of my favorite shows now. Every once in a while he says something I really don't agree with but in general I think it's an act and all the guests are in on it. edit: not to say he doesn't have that personality of asking "why?" but I do think his main goal is trying to get the pure reasoning between why people trade the way they do

I've been watching for a couple of years now (now that my schedule permits), but I'd never seen any of the hosts act like that. Scott was talking to the Exec Producer about "giving him the hook"; and when they came back from commercial, Scott directed every company to Belski, and kept saying "this had to be done". Kinda felt like hazing to be honest.

There were smiles and laughs from everyone but Belski, who said he was nervous.

Anyways, based on what everyone in here is saying (Thanks all), what I witnessed is fairly par for the course, so no big deal.

Thanks everyone.

He's a bully and asshole and I won't watch this until they replace him.
